The Chao Phraya River is the lifeline of Bangkok, pretty much dissecting the city in half and providing the city with its main source of water. The river does stretch to other parts of the country, which makes it a great way to discover these parts of Thailand. And you will do so on the Manohra Song, a 100-year-old former rice barge that’s been converted into a deluxe river cruiser featuring four air-conditioned staterooms with queen-size beds, in-suite bathrooms, a large living and dining area with bar, plus a sun-deck lounging area. Sounds pretty luxurious, don’t you think?

There are lots to see in Bangkok. And a lot of those sites are right by the river. Let your posh river vessel take you to some of Bangkok’s attractions. The Grand Palace is by the banks. And so is Wat Arun aka, the Temple of the Dawn. Snap away! We’ll also take you to the Royal Barge Museum to see the incredible collection of the King’s personal fleet. You’ll also get a glimpse of simple temple life at Wat Pathum Khong Ka and at Wat Bang Na where a picturesque sunset scene awaits you. Camp in the boat and enjoy a good night sleep.

The early morning atmosphere beckons you. And why not spend it by making merit at Wat Bang Na? Hop back in and off we go! We’ll set sail northwards up the Chao Phraya River to Thailand’s old capital Ayutthaya. Here a grand collection of ruined temples and pagodas await your discovery. In the evening, take a limousine to Bang Pa In where you’ll rejoin the Manohra Song and enjoy an Ayutthaya-inspired Thai dinner in front of Wat Nivet.

What do you think of Thai architecture? Pretty charming, huh? Learn about and see a variety of Thai houses in regional styles at Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Center. And we’ll throw in more revealing knowledge at you as you learn how a wide range of handicrafts are made. After a short guided tour, lunch will be served and you’ll cruise back down Chao Phraya River for a late afternoon arrival in Bangkok.
