Imagine exploring the beauties of Bali on horseback. The scenery of Bali slowly makes its way to you as the rhythm of the horse’s hooves gallop towards charming Balinese scenery and villages. You do not have to be an expert equestrian rider or jockey to enjoy this moment. This peaceful and scenic ride can be enjoyed by everybody, even if you have never seen a horse before. Your little girl will definitely be over the moon for taking her on our Horse Riding at Umalas day trip!
As with any horse riding program, the tour starts at the stable. If you are a morning person, get there by 7.30 or 8.00. If not, then the 14.00 or 14.30 afternoon session would be more suitable for you. Meet the horsey at Umalas Equestrian Center in Seminyak. Local guides and horse experts will warmly welcome your arrival. Your daughter will probably be very excited by now, but it is important that you and her listen to the safety briefings.
Ok so now the fun part begins. You and your daughter will be paired with a horse that fits your riding experience and height. And then, it’s time to start the two hour gallop.
Your horse and guide will show you some very cool scenery such as emerald green rice paddy fields that literally light up the surrounding area. You’ll also pass through a Balinese village and along a scenic stretch of road that leads to Batu Belig, a fabulous stretch of Balinese beach. Savor in the scenery and follow the coastline for about half an hour before looping your way back to the stable.
And trust us, just because you are looping back doesn’t mean you will be seeing the same things over again. The villagers and farmers engage in different activities throughout the day, so you’ll get another perspective on Balinese countryside life. Being on horseback certainly gives you a unique vantage point to experience Bali.
To all beginners and children: do not worry. A personal guide will be there at all times to control the horse’s pace and direction. For expert riders: there is a chance to canter along the beautiful of Batu Belig beach.
