Looking to embrace yourself in a picturesque UNESCO Heritage Town? Well, there sure isn’t a place like Hoi An, Vietnam. Stepping foot into this town is like walking back in time. Seriously, we are not kidding. If you compare the town with any paintings or drawings of Vietnam in the 1700’s you’ll see a strikingly similar resemblance. Still not convinced? You’ll never have been to a more picturesque and walking friendly town. And exploring Hoi An on your very own two feet is probably the best way to go. We highly recommend starting things off over at the Old Town. That’s where the time machine is. Cross the Japanese covered bridge, stroll through the cultural halls, enjoy a traditional music performance and explore the layout of an ancient house. And that’s not all folks. Just a short stroll away from the historical Old Town is the beach, an idyllic spot for you to stretch those legs, arms and relax amidst the sound of the hypnotic South China Sea waves. Beach number one is Cua Dai. It’s smooth golden sands make it an ideal spot for some of that delicious Vietnamese seafood. Beach number two is An Bang. Either one is fine. Both are great relaxing spots and soothing places to laze the day away.

Hoi An is also the perfect base for you to explore another UNESCO Heritage Site, My Son. This is the former religious site of the ancient Champa Kingdom.
