Cambodia news: Mandatory e-arrival form

Form must be submitted prior to entering the country

All inbound travellers to Cambodia are required to submit an electronic arrival card prior to entering the country. The new platform and app also make it easy to obtain visas for eligible nationalities.

Known as the ‘Cambodia e-Arrival‘ (CeA), this initiative aims to expedite and modernise the entry process.  The digital card replaces the traditional paper-based immigration form, health form and customs declaration, consolidating them into a single, convenient online portal.

Travellers can access the e-Arrival system up to 7 days prior to their arrival. It is available through two channels:

  • Official Website: The official government website, https://arrival.gov.kh/, allows for online submission of the e-Arrival card.
  • Mobile App: The Cambodia e-Arrival app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It offers a convenient mobile platform for completing the e-Arrival card.

At present, this process is applicable to travellers who arrive by flights into Phnom Penh and Siem Reap airports.  Those entering Cambodia by land crossing, boat or through Sihanoukville airport will use the paper-based forms at this time.

EXO highly recommends submitting this form prior to boarding inbound flights. However tablets will be available at Siem Reap and Phnom Penh airports to facilitate the e-Arrival process for those who have forgotten.

The platform and application also provide the option to apply for an e-visa or reserve a visa on arrival for eligible nationalities, eliminating the need for separate visa applications. EXO highly recommends travellers utilise the e-Visa reservation system for a faster, smoother arrival process.

Applying for an E-Visa via the App: Guests can apply for an e-visa up to 60 days before their arrival, with a processing time of 3-4 business days. While the app processing costs an additional $6 USD, it offers greater convenience as passenger details need to be entered only once.

We recommend applying for both the e-visa and e-arrival card as soon as the 7-day advance window opens.

Guests should select the ‘Apply for Visa T’ option when prompted (see image on right for details).

Using Visa on Arrival: For guests opting for the Visa on Arrival, they should select the ‘Valid Visa or Stay Permit’ option (as shown) and proceed directly to the VOA counter upon arrival in Cambodia.

For Guests with an E-Visa: Even with an e-visa, travellers must still complete the e-arrival card. In the app, they should select the appropriate option (‘Valid e-Visa’) to complete this process.

Should there be further updates or changes, we will inform partners and update the blog.  For any questions or assistance regarding the Cambodia e-Arrival system or planning a Cambodia holiday, please reach out to our team via our contact form.
