There’s also time to visit Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda which houses a 70-meter reclining Buddha statue.

Now it is time to see a sight you have not, may not and will not find anywhere else. This is Bagan. The world record holder for the most temples and pagodas. There are some options for you. Either tour the temples by foot or by horse cart. Or both. Either way, let the scenery amaze you. Cuz it will do that to you.

After your temple experience, shift the scenery a little bit with a flight to Heho, the gateway to Inle Lake. This place sure is interesting. See the laid back fishermen row their boats with their legs (yes, legs), pagodas reflecting against the water lakeside and the countryside atmosphere that dominates the area. To add to Inle Lake’s intrigue, see trained cats jump through hoops at Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery. Then visit the more conventional Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s holiest sanctuary.

Now, let’s head back to the biggest city and warp up your Burmese Days holiday. A ride on the Circle Train is highly advised, as it allows you to see Yangon in and out, as well as experiencing the local way of life and absorbing the overall Yangon atmosphere.
