Don’t forget to Fully Embrace your Siem Reap Resort while Admiring Angkor’s Beauty and Delights

Siem Reap is certainly known for its temples and ruins. What many do not realize is that the town can be a destination for a holiday resort style vacation.

Siem Reap is certainly known for its temples and ruins. What many do not realize is that the town can be a destination for a holiday resort style vacation. With the opening of several top hotels and resorts, along with a budding gourmet dining scene and increasing number of golf and leisure facilities, you’ll have  more options than ever before in Siem Reap. So, let’s tour the town, the temples and Cambodian hospitality like many before never had in a unique and memorable program.

You’ll start the tour off in relaxing fashion, at a spa. This will certainly set the tone for the rest of the journey. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. And why not bask in the resort’s posh atmosphere with a swim in the pool or some snacks at the hotel bar? As the sun sets, enjoy a welcome dinner at one of the town’s best restaurants, introducing you to the fresh flavors of authentic Khmer cuisine.

Continue to enjoy your resort this morning. Relax by the pool, hang out in the restaurant or just relax in the room this morning. You’ll soon be enthralled by the marvels that await at Angkor Archeological Park. Angkor Wat, the jungle temple of Ta Phrom and a whole bunch more are awaiting your discovery. A ride in a tethered helium balloon recaps everything you have seen, as well as providing spectacular views as the sun begins to set.

Your third day here is in complete leisure (a common theme of this program). If you do need to get up and move around, perhaps a tour of this sleepy yet colorful town is your cup of tea? Or join in on one of our optional activities where you can indulge in a spa treatment, visit the artisan shops to purchase unique handicrafts, tee off for a round of golf or return to the temples for more exploration. It’s all up to you.

Time to explore some of the magic that lies outside of town. You’ll do so by boat via a Tonle Sap cruise to Kampong Phluck. The small, rustic, semi aquatic village is filled with stilted houses, floating gardens and flooded forests. This small settlement will really open some eyes and reveal to you that life can succeed on water. Return to Siem Reap for more afternoon leisure followed by dinner and a traditional dance performance.

You’ll notice how relaxed and laid back the flow of this Angkor Resort Retreat tour is. Perhaps you’d like to extend this tour with adventure? Some cuisine and culture? Or more R&R at the beach? See more of our Cambodia tours and invigorating travels.
