Earlier this month, EXO Academy 2025 brought together colleagues from across Cambodia, Laos and South Korea for two energising days of learning, connection and growth. Hosted at the Sofitel Phnom Penh, the Academy was designed as a dedicated space for our teams to step back from their day-to-day work, exchange ideas and strengthen the bonds that make EXO such a dynamic organisation.
A Space for Learning and Growth
With the support of an external training company, the programme dove into topics that are central to EXO’s culture: effective communication, constructive feedback, leadership development and teamwork. Through interactive workshops, lively discussions and hands-on exercises, participants were encouraged to share perspectives, listen actively and put EXO’s core values into practice.
The Sofitel Phnom Penh provided the perfect setting, offering an environment that fostered focus while allowing space for reflection. Over two intense days, the energy in the room was palpable, with every session sparking new conversations and ideas.
Connecting Across Borders and Teams
A highlight for many was the chance to connect with colleagues beyond their usual circles. Small group activities mixed participants from different departments and even different countries, giving everyone the opportunity to learn from each other. It was a rare chance to spend time with colleagues from EXO Laos and EXO Korea, further strengthening the sense of one EXO culture that transcends borders.
As one participant noted, the joy of being together was evident in the atmosphere. Laughter, smiles and thoughtful exchanges filled the room. For junior team members, the Academy was an inspiring opportunity to learn and grow, while for senior colleagues, it offered the chance to refresh their knowledge and mentor the next generation.
Looking Ahead
The HR team received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with many participants highlighting not only what they learned but also the renewed sense of connection they felt with their colleagues. By creating space to learn and share together, EXO Academy 2025 reinforced the values that lie at the heart of our organisation: collaboration, respect and a continuous commitment to growth.
