📍 Transfer: from Noi Bai airport To hotel in Hanoi (35 km): 4 min

Arrive in Noi Bai international airport. Meet our local guide then transfer to the hotel for check in. There is one group transfer in today.

The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Tonight we gather to have welcome dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant in the city.

After having breakfast, we start with a transfer about 2 hours outside the city. Cycle Route 313 up to Ha Hoa Bridge. Our crew will follow the sealed road to Thac Ba Lake, then turn on a smaller road to reach the day’s destination.
Vu Linh, a quiet and beautiful commune, is home of Dzao ethnic minority groups. Escaping from the noisy Hanoi, this destination makes you feel comfortable and refresh yourself along with views of Thac Ba Lake, romantic enough to charm even the most skeptical. The remarkable scenery will drop our soul and we have a memorable trip with the friendly and hospitable host. This night, our crew stay overnight at a homestay hosted by friendly and hospitable local people.

After having breakfast, we follow the small road offered with palm trees and huge mountains on the two sides to straightly hit up to Hoang Su Phi. Hoang Su Phi welcome you with the magnificent sceneries, showing up with the blending of the peaceful nature and plenty of roof-colored houses. Being closed by many winding roads are rugged deep pools and cross-sections that make any riders heartless. Transfer the rest way to Hoang Su Phi.

Breakfast and leave the hotel at 08.00, cycle the same way for 32km back to national road 2 and then heading for Ha Giang city. 

Leaving Ha Giang and follow road 4C 46km uphill the spectacular Quan Ba mountain pass for about 3 hours including some stops along the way paying visiting to villages of the Tay and Hmong as well as taking photo of the stunning landscape. From the top of Quan Ba pass which is called Heaven Gate, the panorama of Tam Son valley opens wide below which is highlighted with green rice fields and colorful flower farms, especially the TWIN HILLS beautifully set amongst immense and walled-up lime stone mountain. Process gradually downhill shortly to Tam Son town let at noon for lunch break.

Afternoon trip begins with an hour walking to explore Nam Dam village of the Zao Ao Dai(Zao with long dress) who live their most traditional way in a beautiful village at the foot of Quan Ba mountain range.

Today is great and incredible day with us whilst cycling in the heart of world listed Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark.

We cycle from your stay on asphalt road and descent 10 km through Hmong village, cross bridge and cycle along stunning riverside to meet the first hilltop today. It’s a challenging up and down terrain to an altitude of 1.025m before we make a final descent for the last 15km into Yen Minh. This portion of the road trip offers breathtaking scenery of the terraced fields, probably among the most beautiful ones in Vietnam.

  • If on Sunday: Spend about 1 hour early in the morning to visit the market where tribal peoples such as Hmong, Zao…in their colorful traditional costumes gather not only for shopping but also for socializing, a feature of social life in the mountainous region.
  • Leaving Yen Minh for a cycle uphill heading to Dong Van. The road of this part gets winds its way up and down steep mountains with many sharp bends but the scenery is amazingly beautiful. Enjoy many stops along the way for magnificent and beautiful landscapes as well as paying visit to some highlights of the region such as:
  • The ancient town let of Pho Bang featured with clay walled, yin & yang roofed houses built centuries ago.
  • Sung Muoi village with typical & traditional way of life of the Hmong peoples
  • Historical relics of the Vuong Palace to learn about the past when the Vuong family ruled over the region and control opium production and trading.

Arriving in Dong Van

Today continue the road trip downhill 28km passing over the Ma Pi Leng pass which is famous for its magnificence and beauty, composed by walled-up mountains, deep valley and the 800m high canyon and the Nho Que River running in between. 

Downhill to the Gam river massif, getting through Bao Lac district of Cao Bang. Although the road from Dong Van to Bao Lac is just 70km long, it is impressive to a number of experienced off-road riders with the complex and dangerous terrain, strongly divided by the long mountain ranges, with big slope. Like the topography, the weather is quite severe here. It is cold and icy in winter while in the summer, the sunburns. Fortunately, Highway 34 leading to Bao Lac is now renovated and upgraded to supply off-road Vietnam motorcyclists with smoother running. 

The view of both sides is breathtaking with the green color of the mountains and hills, alternating between the bamboo forests. Besides, there are the neighborhood with the moss-roofed roof of the ancient stilt house located between the terraces in the hillside as well as the rice and cornfields of ethnic groups. That all contributes to dreamy scenery and creating a peaceful feeling whenever you ride passing through this place. Because the riding distance for today is not too long so you will have more time to participate in the weekly market here. At the end of the day, our crew will sleep at a hotel

  • If on Sunday: Spend an hour early in the morning joining the weekly market in Meo Vac town let before leaving.
  • If on the date of the Tiger and Monkey: Early breakfast and then transfer 17km to Lung Phin to attend the famous weekly market where customers have chance to meet Hmong and Zao peoples from remotest villages who come and create festive atmosphere at the market place.
  • If on 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 of the lunar months, spend an hour joining the tribal peoples at Niem Son Market(25km from Meo Vac) or even earlier for 2 hours driving to Bao Lac Market where the Black Lo Lo and San Chay peoples can be met.

Start your day with a delicious Vietnamese breakfast at a local restaurant before embarking on a cycling adventure. Departing from your hotel, pedal through the scenic backroads from Bao Lạc to Cao Bằng, passing through remote villages and breathtaking mountain ranges along the China border.

Follow the Gam River, passing quaint villages and peaceful countryside, before venturing into the mountains. Enjoy the picturesque scenery of rolling hills, terraced rice fields, and fruit orchards. As you continue your journey, conquer the challenging Me Pja and Khau Coc Cha passes, two of Vietnam's most scenic routes. Descend through the stunning Xuan Truong valley, taking in the panoramic views of the mountainous landscape and colorful rice terraces. Challenge yourself further with the Ta Nenh pass, winding through untouched tribal villages and stilt houses before enjoying a downhill ride through the picturesque Ha Quang district.

This morning, embark on a cycling journey through rural villages to Pac Bo, a historic village located just 3 kilometers from the China border. Visit the former hideout of the late President Ho Chi Minh, where he lived and worked for four years, planning the 1954 independence from French colonialists.

Enjoy the scenic route to Pac Bo, winding through rolling hills, passing small villages and valleys nestled between conical mountains. Continue your journey to Tra Linh, passing through charming towns, bustling markets, and peaceful valleys. As you pedal through the winding forest jungles, encounter small hill tribal villages and experience the rich culture of the local ethnic minorities.

Venture deeper into remote villages, where the scenery becomes even more picturesque. Interact with ethnic people working on their farms, witness water buffaloes tending to agricultural plants and fruits, and cycle through rolling hills before entering the vibrant town of Trung Khanh.

Cross the Quay River and pass through small hamlets along the hillside and riverbanks. Admire the stunning countryside views of terraced rice fields and farmlands as you cycle along the China border. Conclude your day in the picturesque Ban Gioc.

Get up early in the morning to expose the fascinated nature, walking down to discovery the magnificent Ban Gioc Water Fall. Ban Gioc Water Fall is one of the most maverlous water fall in Vietnam, sharing with China a half of river . Come back to Hotel for hearty breakfast. After breakfast, we commence riding from hotel to Quang Uyen Town on new frontier road to observer the picturesque limestone mountain ranges, passing many hill tribal village of Tay and Nung hill tribes. Learn about their life by visiting their house and chating with the local village or intertain their own special productions. Have lunch enroute. After lunch, we continue to ride undulated road and village road to Phia Thap village which is is one of the traditional villages in Vietnam, making incense entirely by hand. Upon arriving in homestay do check in and have relax by your own.

We get back on bike to challenge incredible pass which take you to another side of mountain. Upon arriving on the top of a limestone mountain behind the village from which you can enjoy the stunning view over Phia Thắp village and its surrounding mountains.

We commence riding from hotel on tarmac road to Babe national Park. Crossing bridge and turn off the country road, we ride on concrete village road until we meet national road 209 then turn right. Keep riding on tarmac road along the river to Bac Can.  On the way, you are rewarded by stunning scenery, break taking limestone Mountain View and magnificent rice terraces. Have lunch enrooted. After filling up- engery. We kick off our bike in undulating road to Ba Be Lake.

Ba Be National Park is one of the oldest parks in Vietnam with stunning mountain scenery covered by semi tropical monsoon rainforest and claims the largest natural fresh water lake in the country. The area is home to a variety of minorities including the Tay, Red Dao, Coin Dao and White Hmong.

This morning, take a local boat for cruising on the clear water of Ba Be, the largest natural lake in the mountainous region of Indochina which is surrounded by high mountains covered by thick forest. 

Get back on your bike to cycle toward Hanoi, The last cycling day in our trip offer for travelers amazing natural scenery in the way between Ba Be and Thai Nguyen, we have opportunity in exploring the verdant tea farm, palm Leaves, gum trees and some ethnic minorities in villages, our cycling trip will finish after lunch, take the bus to transfer to Hanoi.
