After breakfast at the hotel, set off early from Chiang Rai to explore the Mae Chan area. The first stop is Wat Tham Pa Acha Thong, also known as the Golden Horse Monastery. This remote monastery is unique in Thailand, as its monks collect their daily alms on horseback instead of on foot. Learn the story of how this distinctive tradition began while walking around the grounds. There may also be an opportunity to make an offering to the monks as they pass by on horseback. Continue to a nearby hilltop temple, where monks and novice monks often practice Muay Thai martial arts.
Next, drive to Chui Fong Tea Plantation, one of the most famous tea plantations in Chiang Rai. Receive a brief introduction to the tea-making process and enjoy a tea-tasting session. Then, grab a cup of coffee at the plantation’s coffee shop, which offers panoramic views of the plantation.
Depart for lunch at Phu Chaisai Mountain Resort and Spa, where you can also enjoy stunning mountain views.
In the afternoon, continue with a drive up Doi Tung Mountain, one of Chiang Rai’s most scenic regions. Visit the Doi Tung Royal Villa and the beautiful Mae Fah Luang Gardens. This former residence of King Rama IV’s mother is set amidst natural surroundings, offering a perfect spot for relaxation.
Return to town.
Dinner is served at Singha Boon Rawd Farm, while enjoying a beautiful sunset over the tea plantation.

Pa Sak Tong has its own private trails on nearby Doi Chang Mountain. Working closely with the Lisu Hill Tribe guides in the area, we have created a beautiful series of exclusive hikes on this picturesque mountain. The hikes pass through a variety of terrains, including old forests, grasslands, and rainforests. Along the way, enjoy amazing vistas and visit spiritual sites significant to the Lisu people. The hike is followed by a unique tour of a beautiful mountain temple, surrounded by ancient bamboo groves, forests, and serene ponds. The experience concludes with a gourmet picnic overlooking endless valleys.
Optional: Rural Thai Hike
Enjoy a gentle hike from the back door of Pa Sak Tong, passing through a variety of rural landscapes, including rice fields, farms, and rubber and tea plantations. The views are stunning throughout the entire hike.

In the evening, be whisked away in a VIP van with your luxury guide escort and visit the King Meng Rai monument to pay homage to the founder of Chiang Rai, who also laid the foundations of Chiang Mai. Then, take a samlor for a ride around town before transferring to the local night bazaar. Enjoy a local Thai dinner at the bazaar, followed by some time for bargaining for hill tribe handicrafts and other products before returning to the hotel.

📍 Chiang Rai Hotel – Chiang Mai Hotel (182 km): approx. 3 hrs

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and ride in a VIP van to Chiang Mai (approximately a 3-hour drive). En route, visit the fascinating Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple. Soak in the amazing beauty of the unique Kanok architecture by the famous artist Chalermchai Kositpipat. If you are lucky, you may have the chance to meet the artist himself, have a brief chat about art, and get a poster signed by him.
In the late afternoon, explore Chiang Mai’s old town, venturing through the crumbling city walls and admiring the blend of old and new buildings. Catch glimpses of glittering pagoda spires illuminated by the late afternoon sun.
Next, step into one of the city’s most revered pagodas, Wat Suan Dok. Witness local devotees deep in prayer or paying homage at the mausoleum where the ashes of the former Royal Family are interred. Learn about the beliefs and traditions of Thailand’s Buddhists.
Continue on the spiritual trail, leaving the city centre and taking a winding drive into the hills. Climb the staircase of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, admiring the intricate naga carvings along the way. Upon reaching the top, explore the 14th-century pagoda and learn about its origins. Wander around the towering gilded stupa and take a moment to enjoy the panoramic views of Chiang Mai.
Before sunset, visit one of Doi Suthep’s monks and receive a blessing for good health and fortune. Then, witness the magical evening chanting of the monks—a serene way to conclude the day’s spiritual tour.
This evening, dine at the casual yet stylish “Ginger & Kafe,” a bistro serving a variety of Thai dishes.

Be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 and transferred to the meeting point near the Mae Wang River, where you’ll embark on a short bamboo rafting experience. Enjoy a fun and scenic cruise to the Elephant Discovery Camp, located in a natural area on a hillside in the Mae Wang district.
Upon arrival at the camp, meet a mahout, be introduced to the elephants, and learn about their stories and daily routines. Interact and play with the elephants under the mahouts’ supervision, forming a meaningful bond with these gentle giants. Take a walk alongside them and observe them as they play in the mud pond. Learn how to communicate with the elephants and how to prepare nutritious food and treats for them using natural ingredients. You will also enjoy bathing and soaking the elephants in a large pond.
A delicious lunch will be served at the camp.
Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

You will be met by Mr. Luengvilai, your friendly art instructor, who will introduce you to the art of traditional Thai gold crafting, lacquering, and gilding on wood.
Lacquering and gilding are considered high arts in Thailand and are an important part of the kingdom’s heritage. Lacquer is often applied to the surface of Buddha images to produce a shiny effect and make them stand out. You will spend time with the artist learning about the history of this traditional art form, as well as the methods for creating your own piece. You will also learn how to create traditional Thai water patterns by applying lacquer and gilding on a small wooden plaque, allowing your imagination to run wild. You can design something meaningful to you or seek inspiration from the local artist. Once completed, you will have a magical, creative souvenir to remember your experience.
The artist is an engaging character as well! He graduated from the Thai Fine Arts College of Technology in Bangkok and has been commissioned to participate in the restoration of many famous temples in Thailand, including the legendary Wat Pho. Getting to know the artist is a fun experience in itself.
To encourage sustainable travel, the artist will present you with your own tote bag to carry your souvenirs and purchases home—a convenient little gift that helps you do your part for the environment.
Finally, you will be transported back to your hotel in the same comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience from start to finish.
Next, head to a popular local restaurant for a snack. Order a bowl of khao soi, Chiang Mai’s most famous dish, which combines crispy noodles with coconut curry sauce. Enjoy the delicious noodles while reflecting on your magical morning, then return to the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart by VIP van northwards to Pai (approximately a 3-hour and 30-minute drive) along a winding mountainous road. A stop can be made at the picturesque 60-metre-high Mok Fah Waterfall and Pong Duad Hotspring, located in Huay Nam Dang National Park. This powerful hot spring gushes from the ground at a temperature of 99 degrees Celsius. Thai people believe its natural properties are beneficial for the skin. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant along the way.
Before arriving at your accommodation in Pai, relax and enjoy a beautiful sunset at a private farmland while sipping late afternoon tea in this perfect setting.

After breakfast at the hotel, drive approximately one hour to the famous Tham Lod cave system. Explore the 1.5-kilometre-long caves on guided bamboo rafts floating along the river that runs through them. Visitors entering the cave from 16:00 onwards will witness a remarkable natural spectacle as thousands of swifts fly into the caves while an equally impressive number of bats exit for the night.
Close to Tham Lod is the village of Jabo, inhabited by members of the colourful and welcoming Black Lahu Tribe. The community has established its own tourism initiative to showcase their culture, traditional values, healing methods, and ability to live in harmony with nature, in contrast to destructive farming practices found elsewhere.
On the way back to the hotel, stop for lunch at a local restaurant and make a brief visit to Kiew Lom Viewpoint, where breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains stretch across northern Thailand and into Myanmar.

They will then assist with your luggage and introduce the guide/driver who will transfer you to the hotel in a private luxury vehicle.

Optional: Phang Nga Elephant Care Experience 
Be picked up from your hotel in either Phuket or Khao Lak around 08:00 (depending on your hotel’s location) and transferred to Phang Nga Elephant Park.
Upon arrival at the park, be welcomed by your guide and offered a refreshing welcome drink. You will then be introduced to the history and life of Asian elephants and receive instructions on how to approach and guide your elephant safely. Change into a mahout’s outfit and watch a demonstration of an elephant health check, learning about the daily routine of a mahout. Begin a walk with your gentle giants through the jungle, prepare food, and feed them in the serene surroundings.
Next, enjoy a fun bathing session with your elephants, splashing and bonding with them. Afterward, shower and change before enjoying a traditional Thai lunch with fresh fruit and refreshments.
Before bidding farewell to these gentle giants, participate in a food-planting activity for the elephants as part of the conservation program. You will then have time to relax, take photos, and visit the souvenir shop and Education Centre before being driven back to your hotel.(L)
