Thailand Honeymoon Experience with Samui

📍 Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport – The Peninsula Hotel (approx. 40 km): approx. 40 min – 1 hr

On arrival in Bangkok, a representative will fast-track you through immigration. They will assist with your luggage and introduce your EXO travel guide. You will then be transferred to the hotel by private car. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy a welcome champagne along with other honeymoon amenities thoughtfully prepared in your room for a memorable stay together.
In the late afternoon, the guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and escort you in a private air-conditioned vehicle to “Sirocco,” located on the 65th floor of the State Tower at Lebua. Arrive at the Skybar just in time to relax with a sunset cocktail while enjoying a panoramic view of Bangkok. Afterwards, enjoy your set-menu dinner.

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the morning with a behind-the-scenes look at Buddhist culture. Start with a visit to Wat Pho, arguably Bangkok’s most enchanting temple. Arrive just as the resident monks gather for their morning chants. Witness this deeply spiritual ritual and gain a deeper understanding of Thailand’s Buddhist heritage.
After the chants, take a walk around Wat Pho and explore the vast collection of religious treasures on display. Admire the famed reclining Buddha image, which stretches 45 metres in length. Learn about the symbolism of the Buddha’s intricate footprint and observe devotees making offerings to this revered image.
The tour then continues to the nearby Grand Palace, which has served as the seat of Thailand's Royal family for more than two centuries. Explore the vast grounds, including the various temples, throne halls, and museums within the compound. Visit the Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddhist image in Thailand, and learn about its mysterious origins. Note: The Grand Palace is one of Bangkok’s most popular attractions and receives millions of tourists annually. To enhance your visit and avoid crowds, your guide may adjust the timing to visit either early morning or late afternoon if possible. If the crowd is too large for your preference, the guide can bring you to an alternative nearby temple, such as Wat Saket or Wat Suthat. This decision must be made before entering the Grand Palace.
In the afternoon, board your exclusive Hacker-Craft boat, a classic mahogany vessel unique on the Chao Phraya River. As you cruise along the river, enjoy the view of Bangkok’s cultural sites before turning onto the city’s canals and stopping in front of Siri Sala, the first and only waterfront private traditional Thai villa in Bangkok.
Upon disembarking at the villa’s pier, walk through the door and find yourself in the villa compound, where you will feel like an esteemed guest of the host. The entire villa is yours to enjoy! Be introduced to the engaging story of the house, pay respect to the spirit house, and admire the intricate designs throughout this traditional home. Every element is delicate and rich in style and culture.
Following the villa tour, sit back, relax, and enjoy Siri Sala’s elegant afternoon tea with assorted Thai snacks. The tea is served in a private dining room, where a cultural hands-on garland workshop is also introduced. Your instructor will guide you step by step on how to make a Thai flower garland beautifully and delicately, including how to string and tie the flowers together. Later, offer your masterpiece to the villa’s spirit house for good luck. The workshop lasts approximately 40–45 minutes.
After the workshop, spend a little more time soaking in the villa’s cosy ambiance before enjoying a delicious dinner served on-site.
After dinner, transfer back to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel, start the day with an exclusive Bangkok helicopter experience. You will board a private helicopter from the Peninsula Helipad.
As the helicopter rises, enjoy spectacular views of Bangkok and its surroundings. Fly along the Chao Phraya River to Rama IX Bridge before continuing to the Samut Prakan suburban area. Spot the gigantic three-headed elephant statue at the Erawan Museum, and soar towards the ancient city, unconcerned with the traffic below.
On the return flight to the helipad, admire the impressive panoramic views of the ‘Magnificent City of the Nine Gems.’ Enjoy beverages served on board as the helicopter flies over well-known business districts.
After approximately 30 minutes of flight, descend back to the Peninsula Helipad.
Lunch will be served at the hotel, followed by a free afternoon at leisure.
In the late afternoon, embark on a sunset cocktail cruise, which will pick you up directly from the hotel. On board, enjoy drinks and canapés while cruising along the Chao Phraya River. On the return, you will be dropped off at the Mandarin Oriental pier for a special dinner accompanied by a private Joe Louise puppet show at the Thai-style pavilion restaurant, “Baan Noi.”
After dinner, board the hotel shuttle boat back to the Peninsula Hotel.

Upon arrival at Chiang Mai Airport, meet your EXO guide and transfer by luxury car to the hotel. Check in and enjoy free time at leisure.
In the afternoon, explore the ancient city of Chiang Mai, including its old city walls, gates, moat, and markets. Begin with a visit to Wat Suan Dok, where the ashes of Chiang Mai’s royal family are interred. Then proceed to the historic Wat Jed Yod, followed by Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a sacred temple in northern Thailand set high on a mountain on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. Your local guide will explain the story of the temple and highlight its impressive chedi and beautiful murals.
After the afternoon temple tour, head to a beautiful garden on the outskirts of Chiang Mai for a chef’s table dinner to remember. The setting is charming and has a local feel. The chef’s house is decorated in her unique style, reflecting her personality. Relax in her hot tub while she prepares a sumptuous banquet based on your dietary preferences provided prior to the trip. The setting itself is an integral part of the experience.
Chef Gee uses local produce and seasonal ingredients in all dishes, supporting local farmers and their communities. All dishes are freshly made daily using pesticide-free and organic ingredients and cater to all dietary requirements. Chef Gee’s passion for food means she cooks from the heart. Early in the morning, depart from the hotel around 06:00 (note: a takeaway breakfast box from the hotel will be provided) and travel by deluxe car to a special ceremony. Arrive at a beautiful northern Thai-style teak wood house, surrounded by a serene garden with old trees. The house is beautifully decorated in traditional Lanna style, adorned with scented flowers at every corner, preserving the authentic touch and feel of a Northern Lanna wedding ceremony.
A traditional Lanna-style wedding is about to commence, so get ready to be dressed in Lanna wedding attire. The morning ceremony begins with a parade of the groom and his supporters carrying trays of gifts and flowers. Receive ‘soul enlightenment’ (‘Kwan’ in Thai) for a blessed and happy married life. The head monk leading the private blessing ceremony will perform a tying of the string on the wrists, symbolically binding the couple as one.
Return to the hotel after the ceremony for lunch. Enjoy a “khao soi” lunch (traditional curried noodle soup), a signature dish of northern Thailand. Each meal is served in specially designed ‘khao soi’ sets, consisting of eight small ceramic condiment dishes arranged around a large ‘khao soi’ bowl and set on an artist’s palette.
In the afternoon, relax at the hotel and enjoy the hotel facilities.

Wake up early at 05:30 for an unforgettable hot air balloon ride in Chiang Mai. Transfer in the dark to the launch site on the outskirts of town (note: a takeaway breakfast box from the hotel will be provided). Enjoy a cup of coffee while the crew inflates the balloon, watching as the canopy rises gently into the air.
Following a safety briefing from the pilot, climb into the basket. Once everyone is on board, the pilot will fire up the burners, release the ropes, and start navigating the balloon into the sky. Soar higher and higher as the sun begins to peek over the horizon. The gentle breeze carries the balloon over the countryside. Pass over fields and rice paddies, see the lush Ping River valley, and dip low over rural Thai villages. Enjoy the solitude of the open skies while taking in the panoramic views.
After 1–1.5 hours, the pilot will begin the descent back to the ground. Land in the countryside and celebrate with a champagne toast, a traditional ballooning ritual.
Receive a certificate of achievement and a camera full of memories.
In the afternoon, enjoy a half-day visit to Elephant Nature Park, a rescue and rehabilitation centre for elephants and many other rescued animals. Your visit begins with a scenic drive through the rural countryside, during which you will learn about the rescued and orphaned elephants and hear their individual stories.
At the park, you will have the opportunity to spend time with various herds. Many of these elephants have overcome traumatic pasts and are now able to form relationships with other elephants and rediscover their true nature. Observe elephants as well as other rescued animals living free from fear in the sanctuary’s natural surroundings. Please note: there is no riding or bathing of the elephants at Elephant Nature Park.
Your visit helps support regional projects, allowing the sanctuary to continue caring for the herd and making future rescues possible.
Return: At 17:00, say goodbye to the elephants before the one-hour drive back to Chiang Mai, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or guesthouse.

Hop on a private full-day cruise to Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park, which consists of 42 islands. Its main islands are Phaluai Island, Wua Chio Island, Wua Talap Island, and Mae Ko Island.
Explore the area’s many caves, hidden lagoons, and white sand beaches, or go kayaking and snorkeling among the shallow coral gardens for a fascinating day trip.
