Your four-day Mini-Multisport Chiang Mai Adventure starts with the countryside scenery along the way to Mae Tang combined with Mokfah waterfalls, and you get into the wild and get lucky for spotting the wildlife along the way during trekking. Trek through the stunning mountain of Huay Nam Dung, appreciate the ways of villager life of local hill-tribes and take a night off at the middle of land above the sea level. The last day of the trip, you will head down to leisurely float on a bamboo raft with a greenish view at the 2 sides you’ll be passing through.

Itinerary

📍 Transfer from Hotel to Mae Tang 2 hours Trekking: approximately 4-5 hours Difficulty: Medium/hard

Our day starts early in the morning when you get picked up from the hotel for a transfer north of Chiang Mai. First stop on the day will be a visit to the local Mae Malai market. A market on the outskirts of Chiang Mai well known for people from various Hill tribes in the area coming to buy and sell their food products. Your guide will take you along the market and show you a variety of different vegetables and fruits you might have never seen before.

After an insightful market visit Mokfah waterfall, we head out a little further to the remote village of Baan Thong Youa. This will be the starting point of our trek for the morning. Hike through the lush nature while learning some knowledge about the jungle from your local guide or the different Hill tribes living in the area. 

Soak up the fresh air and stunning views while being along the way. The Hill tribes who used to be famous for their opium trade have now changed their ways to crafts, farming and coffee plantations. We will have lunch somewhere along the way today.

Then continue trekking to the Mae Manai Village where you can enjoy the stunning view and chill out after the long day.

📍 Transfer from hotel to start point of the trek: 1 hour Trekking: approximately 6 hours Difficulty: Medium/hard

After breakfast, today we will head up into the mountains of Huay Nam Dung. We’ll load up on some supplies along the way before we’re starting our trek. We’ll start walking through a local hill-tribe village and pass along heading into nature. 

We’re having about 9 km to cover today by foot, passing several hills, villages and maybe some wildlife along the way and stopping at Elephant camp to take them to bathing and play with them then have Lunch at the camp. After that let’s trek and we’ll have some stunning views along the way before we reach the final stop of today. A local hill tribe village. 

Meet our hosts, help them with cooking or simply have a stroll through the village. Enjoy being in a completely different culture, learning about their life’s and the sounds of nature.

Wake up to the sounds of nature. It’s always something special, waking up in a local village high up in the mountains. Enjoy a local breakfast made by your hosts before packing up your bag and start trekking. Today the trek will be easier as we ascend down the mountains. 

Once down we have a short transfer to the local river where we pop onto a bamboo raft for a leisurely float down the river. Depending on the season, the level of adrenaline will be affected by the rain fallen in the weeks before and it can be from a very leisurely float down to an exhilarating experience.     

We’ll have lunch somewhere along the way today and after the bamboo rafting and then transfer to the hotel for dinner and free time relaxing.

Overnight in Mae Teang

📍 Rafting: approximately 2.5-3 hours

Good morning and breakfast at the hotel our local supplier will pick up to camp. The adventure waiting for you to explore is starting here, river cruise by “Rafting” in the inflatable boat. In the distance of 10 kilometers, you will experience the stunning scenery with a rocky and curving shoreline along the Mae Tang River. 

After our full safety briefing, we set off on our adventure with the first 3 Km of exciting class III rapids through lush jungle and amazing scenery. The upper section is gorgeous with a few fun rapids to warm up in before arriving at the top of the main. In the afternoon lunch at camp and say goodbye our local staff then transfer to hotel and leisure
