You'll learn about the history of Thai pottery and traditional techniques before creating your own piece of artwork to take home.
In the evening, you'll be taken to Ginger Farm Kitchen for a delicious dinner. You will be picked up at 08:30. The recent discovery of Wiang Kum Kam, the Lost City, is of great cultural and historical significance. Following frequent flooding, the city of Wiang Kum Kam vanished without a trace. For over 200 years Wiang Kum Kam became a lost city buried under layers of earth. You explore the main ancient temple ruins by bicycle: Wat Chedi Liam, Wat Phraya Meng Rai, Wat Kan Thom, and Wat Koo Paa Dom. After seeing Wiang Kum Kam, you visit Wat Chiang Mun, the oldest temple built in the ‘new’ city of Chiang Mai, containing numerous old artifacts. Continue by vehicle to the Three Kings monument then to Chiang Mai Arts & Culture Hall, which offers a wonderful collection of the chronicled history of Chiang Mai. 

You will have lunch at Chada Cafe, a popular restaurant in Chiang Mai that serves delicious Thai food and refreshing drinks. You will have a chance to try some of the local specialties and enjoy the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant. After lunch, you will continue your tour by visiting Elephant PooPooPaper Park for paper making. Elephant PooPooPaper Park is a unique attraction in Chiang Mai where you can learn about the traditional Thai craft of paper making. The park uses recycled elephant dung to make paper, and you will have a chance to make your own sheet of paper as a souvenir.

After a full day of exploring, you will head back to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

Get ready for a fun, creative family art day on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. The city is full of talented locals and artists eager to share their creativity, and this is your family's chance to join in.
At 09:00, a Songteaw (Chiang Mai’s famous local form of transport) will pick up your family from your hotel. This is a fun way to begin your morning outing. Travel for about 30 minutes out of Chiang Mai to a temple called Wat Umong (Tunnel Temple). The temple is located in a peaceful forest setting and is a fun area to explore.
After some time at the temple, head to Baan Kang Wat, a small, sustainable crafts village. At the village, there are many activities that families can participate in. The activities are laid out in a village format, so you can walk from house to house, taking part in as many as you like. The workshops are run by local Chiang Mai artists, allowing guests to join in while also seeing the artists’ own creations. The workshops and activities are enjoyable for the whole family. There are also cafes, smoothie bars, and shops for those who want to browse and soak in the delightful atmosphere.
Some of the activities and workshops you can choose from include “Note a Book” notebook creation for budding authors, creating and decorating your own notebook, collage covers, keyring making, postcard creation, cardholder making, and a ceramic workshop. There is also a small art gallery, which is great fun for kids. You can decide which activities you and your family would like to join on the day.
After enjoying a creative morning with these Chiang Mai local artists, head to a local restaurant for lunch.
