At Kanta Elephant Sanctuary, ethical and sustainable eco-tourism is promoted. The sanctuary provides a retirement home for all elephants that have previously worked hard in tourism entertainment or the logging industry. Throughout the day, you’ll gain insight into the lives and stories of these elephants while spending time with them in a safe and caring environment.
Upon arrival at the sanctuary, change into traditional clothing and help prepare fruits to feed the elephants. Enjoy roaming, touching, and playing with them in a natural setting.
Savor a delicious Pad Thai lunch at the sanctuary. After lunch, prepare and cook sticky rice mixed with herbs for the elephants. Learn more about their backgrounds, healthcare, and common behaviors. Have fun with them in the pool by giving them a bath and a mud scrub, and take memorable photos together.
