Itinerary

Arrive at Singapore Changi Airport. Meet your guide in the arrival hall. Your guide will introduce you to the public transport system in Singapore, help you get your EZ - Link card and escort you to your hotel using the train (Standard check-in time is after 1400 hrs).

OPTIONAL TOUR: Singapore Culinary Journey (not included)
This evening’s tour begins at 18:00. Take the subway for a trip down to Clarke Quay -  a unique, conserved historical landmark located along the Singapore River and at the fringe of Singaporeâ s Central Business District.

Cruise down the Singapore River in a traditional bumboat to see the legacy of Singapore's history. This is the best way to see the pivotal role the river played in Singapore's history as a port town. The cruise passes godowns and old shophouses, that now stands as a silent reminder of its humble past. Cruise past old colonial buildings contrasted with imposing modern skyscrapers. Guarding the river mouth see the majestic water-spouting Merlion - a mythological half-lion, half-fish creature a successful symbol of Singapore's tourism industry.

Next, walk over to the Lau Pa Sat which is also known as Telok Ayer Market. Experiences Singapore’s unique food culture housed within one of the most monumental structures in Singapore. Get ready to be WOW-ed by the many street hawker food choices that can be found in this historical building.

After having a fill with dinner, head off for a cooling bowl of local dessert. Choose from flavors like mango shaved ice, chendol (coconut and palm sugar dessert) or for the adventurous, durian flavored desserts.

Colonial Heritage Walking Tour
At 10:00 this morning be met by the guide at the hotel before hopping onto the MRT to City Hall Station where the walking tour begins. 

Begin at the National Gallery of Singapore. Take the elevator up to the 5th floor for a panoramic view of Singapore’s iconic old and new sites like the Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade, Singapore Flyer and more. Learn about the historical importance of the City Hall, overlooking the Padang and the Cricket Club.  Next visit the Supreme Court Wing. Marvel at the amazing architecture and panels of the building from the concourse. Then visit the country’s old supreme court where old Chief Justices sat and held trials. The architecture has been amazingly restored and preserved. Visit the old holding cells at the back of the Supreme Court Foyer and learn about some of the stories behind Singapore law and order. 

Next, cross over to visit the Arts House (the old Parliament House of Singapore). Take the stairs up to the second floor and view the parliamentary seatings of Singapore founding ministers - their name plates are still on the seats! 

Then, visit the Victoria Concert Hall, the former entertainment hub of old Singapore. Go to level 3 and learn all about the story behind this hall. 

Then past the statues of the main founders of Singapore - Sang Nila Utama and Sir Stamford Raffles. Learn about their significance in finding modern and thriving Singapore. 

Stop to cool off with a local ice kopi / teh or lime juice. If lucky, see the local ice-cream man selling traditional ice-cream flavours with wafers and bread. 

Refreshed, cross the Cavenagh Bridge to the Fullerton Hotel. Once the General Post Office, this building’s architecture has been carefully restored in a world renowned hotel today. 

Take the underpass to learn more about the history of the Fullerton Hotel before arriving at the Merlion Park. A mythical creature created to promote tourism in Singapore - learn all about its beginnings and how it has become the icon of Singapore today. 

Finish the tour at 14:00, choose to explore the area and hop back on the MRT back to the hotel to rest.

Visit the Sands Sky Park, an awe-inspiring engineering wonder. This unique structural masterpiece, floats atop the three soaring Marina Bay Sands hotel towers, 200m in the sky!

Stretching longer than the Eiffel Tower laid down or four and a half A380 Jumbo jets, with an impressive 12,400 square metres of space, the Sands Sky Park offers unforgettable panorama views of the city’s impressive skyline. An absolute paradise in the sky! 

Next, we will crossover to explore Singapore’s latest National Garden - Gardens by the Bay. Visit the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest cooled conservatories. The Flower Dome is a cooled conservatory replicating the cool-dry climate of Mediterranean regions in South Africa, California, Spain and Italy with unique plants like the Baobab trees, the Madagascar Ghost Tree, and the 1000-year-old Olive tree. The Flower Field caters for a changing display of vibrant plants and blooms. Then, be awed by the world’s tallest indoor waterfall at 35-metre amidst the lush vegetation and tropical epiphytes of the Cloud Forest

We will end the tour with the award winning Garden’s Rhapsody Show. Enjoy the spectacular light & sound show happening nightly at the Supertrees.

Michelin Guide Street Food Tour 
This morning at 10:00 meet with the guide for a day of Michelin Guide street food discovery of Singapore’s popular hawker centres. First, go to Chinatown Food Complex.  A multi-storey wet and dry market that is popular among locals and foreigners.

Find a seat amidst the crowd and sip on kopi tarik or teh tarik the famous pulled coffee or tea and thick kaya toast. A typical everyday breakfast for the locals. While learning about hawker culture in Singapore, work up an appetite for the rest of the day and have a taste of a famous local snack, popiah and kueh pie tee. Hand-made fresh daily, interact with the local stall owners and watch how they skillfully wrap up these fresh vegetable rolls. 

Next, walk past the famous Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and towards the Singapore City Gallery. This unique gallery, part of the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore, tells the story of the city’s physical transformation. Learn all about Singapore’s rapid evolution here and why the country’s successful urban planning efforts dub it a city of the future. (Note: The Singapore City Gallery is closed on Sundays. The stop will be replaced by a historical walk through Club Street before arriving at Ann Siang Hill ).

Then take a short walk up Ann Siang Hill through Ann Siang Hill Park and arrive at Amoy Street Food Centre. A slightly more modest food centre situated among office buildings. Stop here for a taste of  J2 Famous Crispy Curry Puff. (Note: J2 Curry Puff is closed on Sundays. Choose another snack from an alternative stall.) It might not look like much at first glance, but the humble curry puff is a ubiquitous Malay snack that can be counted on to always hit the spot. The thin flaky pastry usually encases a generous filling of curried potatoes or sardine fish, complete with a hard-boiled egg. Refresh with a taste of sugarcane juice or soya bean milk. 

Next walk over to Telok Ayer MRT station for a short train ride to Little India - the heartland of the Indian communities. On the way, pass by Singapore’s oldest Chinese Temple, Thian Hock Keng Temple and learn a little about the history. 

Arrive at Little India where the many colours and scents welcome one. Try out the Bismillah Briyani – famous for their Dum Briyani and other authentic Indian cuisine. Complete the culinary experience with a typical sweet pistachio dessert. 

Choose to stay around the area to explore or return to the hotel.
