How about a special hike unique to Tokashiki Island before boarding the ferry in the late afternoon?
With a local guide, explore a secret old road that stretches to the uninhabited island adjacent to Tokashiki Island. Pass mountain paths and beaches that were used by residents before a modern road was built. The old narrow road, which is no longer in use, allows you to feel how life used to be before modernity arrive, when the locals lived more connected with nature.
The village road leads to the coast where visitors can walk along the shoreline. When the tide is low, you can see a variety of seaside creatures and even dive and swim in tide pools.
