Meet an English-speaking driver at the Sapporo hotel and begin a scenic drive into central Hokkaido.

The first stop is Furano, a region known for wide open landscapes and rich farming culture. Visit Farm Tomita, a pioneer of lavender cultivation where colourful seasonal flowers bloom from May through October.

Continue to Biei to view rolling hills and the Blue Pond, renowned for its striking colour created by mineral-rich waters.

In the afternoon, travel to Mt. Asahidake in Daisetsuzan National Park. The hotel is located at the base of the mountain, offering a peaceful alpine atmosphere and natural hot spring baths.

After breakfast, head to the Asahidake Ropeway. As Hokkaido’s highest peak, Mt. Asahidake is a highlight of Daisetsuzan National Park. The ropeway ascends to Sugatami Station at 1,600 metres, where an easy 1.7 km walking trail leads to Sugatami Pond.
Seasonal scenery varies dramatically year round, but there is always something beautiful on display. Trip timing can be tailored to fit guests’ interests.
