An airport assistant will bring you to your private car and driver for your transfer to your hotel. 

Depend on your arrival flight time, in the afternoon you will have opportunity to enjoy Ternate small city as initial initiation. 

Take a scenic drive to Kalamata Fort – a fort that was built by Portuguese around 1540 and rebuilt again by the Dutch in 1610 who becane the dominant power in Maluku. 

Continue the journey to get the local experience at the traditional market of Ternate. Immerse the sultan palace before you enjoy the mesmerising view of Sulamadaha beach.

📍 Transfer to Bastiong Harbor by car (6 km): 15 minutes Transfer to Tidore Island by boat: 5 – 10 minutes / one way (depend on weather) Cycling distance: up to 30km Elevation gain: 227M Difficulty: easy to medium (become uphil if clients decide to visit Torre Fort)

Short transfer by car and boat to Tidore, the starting point of our cycling today. 

 Start paddle your bike to explore Tidore area in depth. Tidore is the neighbour of Ternate. The two almost identical small islands, west of the large island of Halmahera, almost facing one another, each shaped by a volcano emerging from the deep Maluku Sea. While if Ternate is dominated by Mt Gamalama, in Tidore rises Mt Kiemtabu.

Cycling through the rural village, take the opportunity to visit Tahula Fort, traditional market, and some village farming. 

Lunch will be at local restaurant (basic) on the route. 

After lunch, jump to the car to drive to Kalaodi Village – a small village which become famous because of the cloves; cinammon and nutmeg. Do not miss to taste the unique coffee taste at this village. 

Return to Ternate island in late afternoon

Today we will do island hopping to visit two small islands surround Ternate. 

First transfer by boat to Mare Island to visit Maregam Village - is a hilly island with some of the area is ramp low land that being used for settlement. The beach profile at this place is rocky and cliff, with some small area with sand. One interesting point from this place is taken from the Kahia Masolo; it more or less like dolphin bay, where there are numbers of dolphin that jumping around and just like greeting those who are in shore.

Second island is Filonga Island – here you could do snorkeling assisted by the local guide. It’s a tiny island mostly looks like a private island with crystal clear water color, beautiful coral gardens and fishes. 

Lunch on the island (picnic or reserve by local villagers)

Return to Ternate Island in late afternoon.

Enjoy a free day at the small town of Ternate. Some optional can be book directly to your guide. 

There is an interesting trekking trip to Sultan Babullah cemetary located at Foramadiahi Hill. It’s 5 hours trekking through the local plantation and lush jungle. 

Picnic lunch will be served on the route.
