In the late afternoon, visit Tosi Village in the Kodi area, a charming traditional village nestled among ancient trees and surrounded by scattered megalithic stone graves. Though simple in appearance, the village holds a captivating atmosphere and remains deeply rooted in its ancestral traditions. The community continues to preserve age-old rituals, including the Pasola festival, which has been passed down through generations. Rarely visited by travelers, Tosi offers a unique opportunity to discover one of Sumba’s hidden traditional villages and experience its authentic cultural heritage.

Weekuri Lake, a stunning crystal-clear lagoon, is the perfect spot for swimming and relaxation. Take a refreshing dip, whether brief or leisurely, and explore the surrounding rocks and reefs, where you can catch a glimpse of the ocean on one side. 

Mandorak Beach, situated next to Weekuri Lake, is protected by two towering rock ridges that extend toward the center, surrounding its crystal-clear waters. Sunset at Mandorak Beach is a magical and quiet show. The bright sun sinks into the Indian Ocean. It turns the sky into bright shades of orange, pink, and purple. Big stone cliffs frame the soft white sand and dark rock shadows. The calm waves glow with a warm golden light.

Leave the resort in Kodi as we move to the southeast for kilometres of untouched white sand beaches in West Laboya.

Some stops will be made to break the distance, beginning with a visit to Waikelo Sawah, a unique water source and irrigation dam featuring a large natural cave that discharges clear blue water amidst vibrant green rice fields. 

Next to Waikacura nearby, a little oasis found in the middle of the rice fields of Sumba. Enjoy a leisure trek through the rice fields, where you'll have the opportunity to observe local farmers at work. At the end of the trek, you'll be rewarded with the sight of a unique multi-tiered cascade flowing gracefully right through lush, bright green rice paddies and palm trees.

Our journey continues to Lapopu Waterfall. Take a short leisure walk and cross a bamboo bridge. Once there, you can unwind at a comfortable spot, sit back, and enjoy the breathtaking waterfall. Or if time allows, challenge yourself by swimming through the strong current, feeling the refreshing satisfaction as you stand beneath the waterfall, immersed in a stunning natural setting. 

Savor a simple picnic lunch box, before proceeding to Waigili Village.

Waigali Village offers breathtaking views of lush greenery and rolling hills, along with remarkable ancient tombs, including a uniquely designed tomb featuring intricate carvings unlike any other in Sumba. During the visit, we will have the opportunity to meet the Rato (traditional leader) at one of the traditional houses, where they will be warmly welcomed and invited to hear fascinating stories about local traditions and rituals. 

Following our visit to the village, we’ll proceed to the hotel to relax and enjoy a well-deserved rest.
