Today’s activities are lake and beach visits.
After breakfast, be picked up with the guide and head out to Waekuri Lake, a stunning salted water lagoon located in south-west Sumba.
Enjoy the crystal blue turquoise water full of fish or take the chance to dive into Waekuri Lake.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at around the area Waekuri Lake.
Proceed to Mandorak beach next door. The beach looks like a lake trapped between the rocks. Take a short walk to the cliff and enjoy the beautiful views from there. Relish watching the Tosca clear water on the land of fisherman at the small beach with big waves.
Return to the hotel in Tambolaka late in the afternoon.

After breakfast this morning, check-out of the hotel and proceed to drive to the south part of Sumba Island.
On the way, make a visit to Ratenggaro traditional village, a residential cluster of traditional homes inhabited by locals. The village also makes traditional hand woven products that have become a signature of the island.
Observe the megalithic tombs that line the path to the village. The traditional houses with the high thatch-roofed stilted houses are made extremely high to symbolise reaching to the gods. The central part of the house is for humans and the area below is for the family’s livestock.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at around the area.
Continue driving and make a stop at Bawanna Beach, with its iconic batu bolong, a rock wall with a giant hole that sits on an unspoilt stretch of sand facing the Indian Ocean.
The next stop is Tanjung Mareha. It is a small hill that extends into the sea. Take a short walk along the gentle ridge to the end of the cape and enjoy the picturesque view!
Check-in to the hotel on arrival in the late afternoon.

📍 Hotel area – Matayangu waterfall (41Km): 1hour 15 minutes
Breakfast at the hotel and prepare for a short trek to the ‘Blue’ Waterfall. Drive to Matayangu and enroute, be amazed by the breathtaking sights of the Wanakuka Valley.
On arrival at the parking lot, begin the 1.5 hours downhill trek, led by a local guide through the pristine Indonesian National Park forest to the blue lagoon at the base of the waterfall. As the trail emerges from the jungles, the breathtaking view of the size and scale of the waterfall basin is truly worth the walk.
Enjoy a dip into the blue waters while the local guide prepares a picnic for a fresh leisurely lunch.
Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and swimming before trekking back to the parking lot.
