Upon arriving at Kuala Namu International Airport, meet and greet by your local tour guide outside the airport's arrival area.

Proceed toward Bukit Lawang, situated 96km from Medan, the largest city in northern Sumatra, Indonesia. Passing through Binjai town, the trip from the airport takes approximately 3 hours and leads to the entrance of Gunung Leuser National Park, which stands as the final sanctuary for the Sumatran orangutan. 

Upon arrival, check in at the lodge and take time to appreciate the peaceful surroundings of the Bohorok River. 

Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, settling into the tropical surroundings, adjusting to the warm climate, and prepare for the exciting adventure that awaits the following day.

Following breakfast, embark on an unforgettable jungle trekking adventure within Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the final sanctuaries for the critically endangered Sumatran Orangutan.

Venture into the pristine rainforest alongside experienced local rangers, today's trips emphasize a three-hour trek deeper into the Leuser National Park. This provides an excellent chance to observe orangutans in their natural habitat, alongside other fascinating creatures such as Thomas leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, gibbons, black gibbons, hornbills, and amidst exotic tropical flora. 

After enjoying a picnic lunch in the heart of the jungle, conclude the excursion with a thrilling traditional river tubing experience returning to Bukit Lawang. 

The rest of the afternoon is yours to unwind and relax by the riverside.

Following breakfast, depart Bukit Lawang and journey toward Berastagi, a picturesque mountain town nestled amidst fertile volcanic landscapes. The scenic drive takes the guest through traditional villages, tropical forests, and lush fruit plantations before arriving in the town.

Once there, explore the vibrant local fruit market where farmers sell an abundant variety of fresh tropical fruits, vegetables, and flowers, before finally checking in at the hotel.

After breakfast, depart for the magnificent Lake Toba, making the first stop at the spectacular Sipiso-piso Waterfall, one of Indonesia's highest and stunning plunge waterfalls. This impressive fall is created by a subterranean river originating from the Karo plateau, which dramatically cascades 120 meters (360 feet) from a cave in the Lake Toba caldera's side, directly into the lake and provides breathtaking panoramic views.

Next, head to the Dokan Traditional Village to experience the culture of the Batak Karo people, where guests can marvel at centuries-old traditional houses and gain insights into their daily life and local customs.

Drive onward to Parapat to board the ferry across Lake Toba to Samosir Island, where guests will check in at the lakeside hotel.

Start by exploring Tomok Village, the cultural and historical heart of the Batak people. As the island's main gateway, the village offers a fascinating glimpse into Batak heritage through its ancient megalithic tombs, traditional Rumah Bolon houses, and lively local markets. Visit the centuries-old tomb of King Sidabutar, admire the distinctive architecture of the Batak people, and stroll along the pathway to the historical sites, where vibrant market stalls display beautifully woven Ulos textiles, intricate woodcarvings, and an array of locally crafted souvenirs and handicrafts.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 4–5-hour journey to Medan, combining a ferry crossing over the tranquil waters of Lake Toba with a picturesque drive along the Trans-Sumatran Highway.  

The route winds through verdant plantations, with a stop at a beautiful orchid plantation where you can admire a vibrant collection of tropical orchids cultivated in North Sumatra. Continuing through charming towns, including Pematang Siantar, the route eventually leads to Medan, the vibrant capital of North Sumatra.

Arrive at your hotel, the rest of the day at leisure.

Begin by exploring the historic Kayu Aro Tea Plantation located at the foot of Mount Kerinci. As one of Indonesia's oldest tea estates, it is recognized as the second tallest tea garden in the world, second only to the Darjeeling tea plantation in the Himalayas, India.

Continue to the picturesque shores of Lake Kerinci, where you'll visit nearby traditional villages for an authentic glimpse into the region's rich cultural heritage. The journey concludes with a visit to one of the area's beautiful waterfalls, surrounded by the lush natural landscapes of Kerinci.

Note: 
Kerinci Seblat National Park stands as one of the final natural sanctuaries for the critically endangered Sumatran Tiger. The park provides an outstanding opportunity to experience pristine rainforest and rich biodiversity; however, because these animals are exceptionally elusive and live in remote forest sectors, encounters with wild Sumatran tigers are highly uncommon and cannot be guaranteed.
