After breakfast, head to Padang Bai harbour to catch a morning fast ferry to Lombok.

Upon arrival at Bangsal Harbour, meet the local guide and proceed for a fascinating 1.5-hour educational tour of the South Sea pearl cultivation process, gaining insight into how pearls are created over three to five years from seeding and nurturing to harvesting and grading. The tour includes a visit to the laboratory where oysters are nurtured with phytoplankton, live demonstrations of the delicate surgical process of implanting a nucleus into a live oyster and an introduction to how experts harvest and grade pearls based on shape, luster and surface quality. Finish the tour by exploring the hatchery and visiting the high-quality showroom to see the finished jewelry.

Next, begin heading toward the hotel, stopping at a vantage point along the way for breathtaking, panoramic views over the Gili Islands and Bali’s Mount Agung.  

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Tetebatu Village. Located on the southern slopes of Mount Rinjani in East Lombok, Tetebatu is a serene, scenic village known for its lush green rice terraces, cool climate (around above sea level) and authentic Sasak cultural experiences.

Check in and refresh before taking a short walk in the afternoon to observe daily life in the village. Guests may choose to visit a small home industry producing traditional crackers, see how local coffee is roasted or simply spend time chatting with friendly locals.

Set out in the soft morning light for a relaxed stroll through Tetebatu, where the majestic silhouette of Mount Rinjani creates a stunning backdrop perfect for panoramic photographs.
Experience rural life in Lombok on a guided walking tour through Tetebatu. The route winds through expansive rice paddies, small traditional villages and jungle trails with bamboo steps, with stops at a waterfall and a local spice plantation. Climbing up the terrace edges is rewarded with incredible panoramic views from the top.

Along the way, visit one or two waterfalls, including hidden jungle falls where there is time to cool off in natural pools. The walk then continues through a peaceful forest that is home to several monkey species, from the common macaques to the more elusive black monkeys believed to be Javanese langurs. Many visitors come here hoping to see them, and for good reason. Watching these animals in their natural habitat is truly a special experience.
The walk also offers a wonderful opportunity to meet local residents and gain insight into the island’s traditional way of life. Tetebatu is a close-knit community where people live simply, with a strong spirit of cooperation and neighbours always ready to lend a helping hand. Conclude the walk with a taste of local cuisine at a simple village warung, the perfect way to end the experience.
The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the resort’s facilities and the peaceful surroundings.

Early in the morning, check out of the hotel and continue to the next destination, Kuta in the south of Lombok, with several stops planned along the way.

Explore the historic charm of Bonjeruk Village, where old European-style buildings hint at its storied past. Bonjeruk offers much more than history, serving as a vibrant hub for agricultural, cultural and culinary experiences. Enjoy freshly harvested fruits from local gardens, cycle through plantations and rice fields and experience peaceful countryside life amid natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage. 

After lunch, proceed to Ende, an authentic traditional Sasak hamlet in Central Lombok known for its preservation of ancestral culture. Rustic bale tani houses made of bamboo and cow dung, weaving traditions, daily farming life and the prohibition of electricity all contribute to the village’s strong sense of continuity with the past.

Arrive in Kuta and spent the rest of the day at leisure.

Later in the day, for those who still have the energy, continue to Bukit Merese for sunset. This grassy hilltop near Kuta offers sweeping views over turquoise bays, Tanjung Aan Beach and rugged cliffs. As the sun begins to set, the sky glows in fiery shades of red over the Indian ocean, often with grazing cows adding to the peaceful atmosphere. A gentle 10 to 20 minute walk from the parking area leads to the summit, making it accessible for most fitness levels.

Spend the day island hopping in southern Lombok, relaxing on the pink sand beaches, snorkelling in coral and fish-filled waters and savouring authentic local cuisine. 
At 8:30 am, meet for a private transfer from the hotel to Tanjung Luar harbour, where a small fishing boat waits. Begin by heading to Segui Beach and, along the way, catch a glimpse of South Sea pearl cultivation, with structures built on stilts over calm turquoise waters. Continue to Lombok’s iconic Pink Beaches, where the shoreline takes on its distinctive rosy hue and the clear waters are ideal for swimming and snorkelling. 
Next, explore the mesmerising underwater world of Gili Petelu, where clear conditions offer excellent visibility for spotting vibrant marine life. The area is also known for occasional sightings of blacktip reef sharks in their natural habitat. 
At Tangui Pink Beach, enjoy the stunning coastal views over a traditional lunch, followed by time to relax on the sand or swim.

Before returning to the hotel, stop at Gili Pasir, a small sand island that emerges only at low tide. When conditions allow, it appears like a hidden oasis in the middle of the vast blue ocean. This visit depends on tide conditions and may take place in the morning instead.
