Breakfast at your hotel.

Depart at 9:00 am from your hotel for a drive through the countryside to La Plantation pepper farm. Upon arrival at La Plantation, enjoy an informative presentation to learn about different types of Kampot pepper, tasting the various forms grown on the farm.

Next, learn to cook traditional Khmer dishes prepared exclusively with La Plantation spices and then lunch on the dishes that have been prepared along with a selection of seasonal fresh juices, home-made ice-teas, or other refreshments. (Note: cooking class is a joining class)

After dining, enjoy some leisure time at the open-air restaurant where you can enjoy the view or shop for various pepper products, including black, pink, and salted pepper, as well as locally-produced Samai pepper-infused rum (provided they have some of the rum on hand, which uses pepper from the farm and is incredibly popular).

In the afternoon, explore the beautiful Kampot Province. Just about 2km out of Kampot town along the way to Kep, visit the salt field. Depending on the season (not possible during the rainy season from June-October), you will be able to see through how the farmer produces and harvest their sea salt.

Drive to Phnom Chhgok Cave, a Hindu cave temple. This is home to the ruins of a temple at the time of Funan (6th- 7th centuries). This small architectural treasure offers an amazing contrast with the grandiose cave where it has been built.

On the way to Kep, visit the Trapeang Sangkae Community. Trapeang Sangkae Eco-tourism has been created by its villagers to promote mangrove reforestation and income generation. After the plantation, enjoy a boat cruise along the river and take a closer look at the mangroves trees.

Arrive in Kep around lunchtime and check into your resort and enjoy the afternoon at leisure to discover Kep on your own, particularly by bicycle, or just relax and unwind.
