Experience Cambodia through its significant cultural heritage and immersive natural encounters. Begin in Siem Reap with a deep exploration of the Angkor temples and Tonle Sap Lake, before continuing to the remote landscapes of Siem Pang for a wildlife-focused stay centred on conservation, biodiversity and local community engagement.
Upon arrival at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, be greeted by the local English-speaking guide before transferring to the hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
Inclusions:
Travel by vintage army-style jeep to Angkor Archaeological Park for a guided visit of Angkor Wat, a 12th-century temple built by King Suryavarman II. Learn about its symbolic representation of Mount Meru, the abode of Hindu gods, and explore its intricate carvings and bas-reliefs depicting Hindu myths, with over 2,000 Apsara dancers gracing the walls.
Continue with an exclusive expert-led experience into the temple’s inaccessible places by a specialist from the German Apsara Conservation Project (GACP). Active since 1997 in collaboration with the APSARA Authority, the project focuses on preserving Angkor Wat’s devatas, apsaras and bas-reliefs. After an introduction and safety briefing, access selected restricted areas and scaffolding to gain insight into the deterioration of the previous decorations of Angkor Wat, ongoing conservation work and restoration techniques. Participation directly supports the project, with funds used to purchase essential conservation materials and tools.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant.
Continue the exploration of Angkor temples by visiting Ta Prohm temple, known for its trees and vines growing atop the temple walls. The site was also featured in the famous Hollywood film Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie. Next, head to Bayon temple, recognised for its 52 towers with enigmatic faces looking out over the vast provinces of the Great Khmer Empire.
Conclude the day with a private gondola paddle boat experience along the Angkor Thom moat. Enjoy champagne, soft drinks and canapés on the 20-minute paddle out to the southwest corner of the wall. Ascend the rampart to the ruins of the small Prasat Chrung temple, overlooking the moat to the south and west. Enjoy the setting sun before reboarding the gondola boat for the paddle back to the South Gate of the city.

Hop on a local wooden boat for a private journey through a canal to Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Cruise along quiet waterways and observe daily life in floating and stilted communities, gaining insight into livelihoods shaped by seasonal water levels.
Continue to the Angkor Wildlife and Aquarium (AWA) for a closer look at the lake’s marine ecosystems. The AWA, in cooperation with NGOs and the Cambodian government, plays an active role in conservation by providing educational content about different species and operating an important breeding project.
On arrival, enjoy a welcome drink and meet with one of the AWA’s marine biologist for a behind-the-scenes tour of the marine exhibit. During the visit, learn about the environmental threats faced by Tonle Sap, including habitat destruction, illegal fishing and disrupted migration patterns. A donation supporting conservation initiatives is included.
Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
As the sun begins to set, enjoy dinner at Villa Chandara, a charming private villa located just west of the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Enjoy fine dining by candlelight, surrounded by rice paddies.
