Tabin Wildlife Reserve is located in the eastern part of Sabah, Malaysia, on the island of Borneo. Considered to be the largest wildlife reserve in Malaysia, the reserve comprises a rectangular are of approximately 300,000 acres in the centre of the Dent Peninsula, north-east of Lahad Datu town, south of the lower reaches of the Segama River and north of the Silabukan Forest Reserve.

Tabin is created in year 1984 and declared a Wildlife Reserve primarily on account of the larger number of animals inhabiting its forests, some of which are highly endangered. Borneo Pygmy Elephant, Sumatran Rhinoceros and Tembadau is seen within the reserve; nine species of primate are present , as well as three species of cats all of which are on the protected wildlife list.Surrounded by nature, Tabin Wildlife Reserve offers air-conditioned chalets with a private bathroom in Lahad Datu. Each chalet features a balcony and private bathroom with heated shower. Tabin wildlife also is a home to various endangered wildlife such as the Borneo Pygmy Elephants, Tembadau and exotic birdlife. Covered in euryspecies lowland rainforest, Tabin nurtures a colosal number of tropical plants, which is rich in medicinal and therapeutic values.
