Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Saigon river as Ho Chi Minh City begins to shift from day to night. The journey offers a different perspective of the city, with views of its skyline, riverside neighbourhoods and daily life along the water.
This experience begins at 16:15 with a transfer to a boat jetty in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City to board a speedboat for a 2-hour scenic cruise along the Saigon River.
Set off along the river, leaving the modern city skyline behind as the boat reaches the junction of the Saigon River and Ben Nghe Canal, one of Vietnam’s oldest and most historically significant ports, dating back to 1863. Continue through quieter canals to observe traditional wooden houses along the water’s edge, children playing on the shoreline and daily riverside life.
As the cruise glides through the water, enjoy canapés and a glass of champagne or a choice of soda while taking in views of the city’s riverside developments, including notable skyscrapers and key bridges connecting the downtown area to newer urban districts. The route also passes by Thanh Da Peninsula, known for its greener landscape and more tranquil setting within the city.
As the sun begins to set, the boat makes its way back toward the city center and Ho Chi Minh City transitions from day to evening. The changing light casts warm tones across the Saigon River, while the skyline gradually illuminates with office lights, street activity and reflections on the water. This stretch of the journey offers a clear view of the contrast between the city’s daytime pace and its evening atmosphere.
The experience concludes with a transfer back to the hotel or onward to the next destination.
