This morning at 08:30, you will be picked up for a half-day tour to Studio Naenna to learn all about the fine display of textile arts in Southeast Asia. Studio Naenna serves as the marketing arm for a women’s weaving group, founded in 1986 in Northern Thailand. This group, known as Weavers for the Environment, was initiated by Patricia Cheesman Naenna, an expert in antique Lao and Thai textiles. The visit will be conducted either by Patricia herself or her daughter, Lamorna. Dyeing demonstrations will take place before proceeding to the veranda for a lecture on the subject. Coffee and tea will be served during the lecture.
