Pick up at 08:00 or 12:00 and be taken to the green lung zone in the heart of Bangkok, where you’ll partake in a half-day Thai dessert workshop.

First, head straight to the pier at Wat Kalayanamit to embark on a private Thai retro solar boat. The style of the boat may seem fairly mundane, but it is eco-friendly, powered directly by solar energy from the sun during the day, which is a rare sight and an impressive feat of engineering. Sit back and relax on a soft cushion as the boat slowly cruises along the banks of the Chao Phraya River through Bangkok’s historic, charming khlongs. Once a major trading route, this waterway is now lined with wooden shop houses and local temples. The boat then continues on to Khlong Bang Khuntien, eventually reaching an authentic natural garden and restaurant called 'Poomjai Garden,' secretly nestled on the banks of the canal.

Owned by a local Thai family, this beautiful garden has a long history of over 100 years, dating back to when the family decided to transform the land into an organic permaculture, while preserving rare plants and trees, such as a century-old lychee tree in the area. In the meantime, the family is closely connected with the nearby local community to source fresh ingredients for use at the restaurant.

Upon arrival at the garden’s pier, you will be greeted and welcomed with a local signature herbal drink, then guided to an exclusive garden zone where you can take part in a private Thai desserts and snacks workshop. The menu is special and primarily based on authentic, traditional dishes, such as Thai Coconut Balls, Rice Dumplings in Sweet Coconut Cream, Thai Pudding with Coconut Topping, and Mieng Taling Pling (an original Thai hors d’oeuvre with a special fruit). The one-hour workshop also includes an exclusive garden tour.

After the workshop, enjoy a delicious lunch while admiring the beautiful garden landscape, before boarding a private transfer back to the hotel. (L)
