Pick up at 09:00 or 13:00 from the hotel and drive to the temple grounds. Meet with the monks and proceed to the workshop area where silver plates are crafted. Learn how to create these silver plates and design your own personalized piece using patterns taught during the workshop.

Wat Srisuphan, also known as the Silver Temple, was originally constructed in the early 16th century. Almost everything in the temple is made of silver and aluminum. The ordination hall is surrounded by sema stones and features remnants of the original way with its intricate designs. The beautiful murals decorating the interior are a stunning tribute to the region’s rich traditions. Incorporating elements of Zen, Buddhist, Theravada, and Taoist beliefs, the murals bring the story of the Buddha to life.

Two hundred years ago, the Ancient Arts Study Centre here was part of a small silver-making community established just outside Chiang Mai’s city walls to help preserve traditional heritage.

After the workshop, enjoy a private transfer back to your hotel.
