Witness a masterful blend of traditional Thai heritage and Western influences, admire invaluable historical antiques, and conclude your visit with an intimate chat over afternoon tea and snacks inside the family's dining room.
Today’s tour begins with the hotel pickup at 13:00. Be transferred in a private vehicle away from the hectic center to a more residential quarter of east Bangkok, heading towards a private residence and museum, “Kunawong House Museum”. The house is owned by the Kunawong family led by Mr. Sermkhun Kunawong who is very much well-known in various fields of art, from interior design, architecture, and arts and photography, as well as event organization.
Upon arrival at the house at 14:00, be personally welcomed and greeted by Mr. Sermkhun, who will walk you through the museum and the residence. First, encounter the chilling atmosphere of a beautifully designed garden, giving the peaceful touch and feel that will truly relax your mind and soul. Then, enter the museum which consists of six floors with six rooms, each uniquely designed in its own extraordinary way and style with a mix of Thai culture and western influence: from the parlour, the dining Garuda, the lounge, the study room, the studio, and the gallery. Every nook and corner is full of attentive details of design and decoration, which will wow all visitors all the way during the visit. The elevator is also one of the main highlights where they get to see through the architecture of the museum through the glass floor.
Following the visit to the museum, be exclusively invited to the family’s residence, where the family is still living nowadays, usually not opening to the public on weekdays. The private residence is really an ideal place to journey back to the old time of Thai history and culture as Mr. Sermkhun and his family are dedicated to keeping in Thailand antiques and collections as well as artworks from different eras and even influences from China. All private collective items are extremely unique and valuable.
