This morning, you’ll have the opportunity to explore a local community in the old town of Chiang Mai and have fun creating your own piece of art with a local artist, making it an unforgettable memory.

The day starts with a pick up between 08:00 and 08:30 from your accommodation, with the exact time varying depending on your hotel’s location. Set off with your friendly guide in a "songtaew," a local pick-up truck taxi (known as Rot Daeng, literally translated as "red car"), and drive towards Wat Ratcha Monthian, one of the lesser-known ancient temples in Chiang Mai. Here, you’ll be met by a local community guide who will lead you on a one-and-a-half-hour walk through a hidden community behind the temple.

During the walk, you will be introduced to the life of a local street artist named Dr. Cas, who has developed an art project to connect with the community and culture. The project was originally aimed at creating a pleasant environment and atmosphere in the area, helping both locals and tourists feel comfortable and welcome during their visit. In the end, the area has been painted with its own unique story and culture, making it one of the most distinctive zones in Chiang Mai.

Then, from alley to alley, soak in all the fun elements of street art and graffiti while learning how each piece is related to the community and the impact the art has had on the area. The walk will culminate at a local wooden house studio called Addict Art, where a fun art activity will take place. You’ll be welcomed by Dr. Cas, who will guide you through all the art techniques and processes, from drawing to painting and spraying. The workshop will take about an hour and a half. During the workshop, you will also be served snacks and drinks.

Complete this half-day morning excursion by leaving your mark on the community with a personal spray on the wall, adding an international flavor to support better community living. Afterward, return to your hotel by songtaew.
