Discover a different side of Bangkok through the lens of a professional photographer on an immersive photography tour. Combining iconic landmarks with local neighbourhoods, waterways and everyday scenes, the experience offers opportunities to capture memorable images beyond the usual tourist sights. With the help of a local photographer and guide, discover interesting settings and spontaneous photo opportunities that come together to tell a unique visual story of Bangkok.
Begin the experience at 11:30 with a pick-up from the hotel by the guide and a private, air-conditioned transfer to the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). Meet the professional photographer at a café inside the centre for a short briefing to discuss guests’ preferences and tailor the route accordingly before setting off to explore.
Take some time to walk through the BACC’s changing exhibitions while the photographer captures natural, candid moments against the centre’s distinctive architectural backdrop.
Continue outside the BACC, where the lively surrounding streets provide a very different backdrop. The photographer will help identify interesting angles and iconic Bangkok scenes for a mixture of posed and spontaneous photographs that capture the character of the city.
From here, walk towards the pier and board a local boat for a short journey through Bangkok's waterways. Along the way, the photographer will keep an eye out for interesting locations, glimpses of local life and colourful scenes to capture.
Disembark and continue on foot towards the historic Phra Sumen Fort, one of the city's remaining riverside fortifications. Wander through the local neighbourhood towards Wat Sangwet Witsayaram, where traditional temple architecture provides another beautiful setting for photographs.
Behind the temple, discover a network of smaller local khlongs and explore the surrounding neighbourhood. Meet local residents, observe the daily rhythm of the community and capture fun, spontaneous photographs along the way.
Stop for late lunch at a local restaurant.
Afterwards, head towards the Giant Swing and Wat Suthat, two of Bangkok's most recognisable landmarks. Admire the impressive temple architecture and surrounding streets while the photographer captures more memorable images against these quintessential Bangkok settings.
From here, continue on foot through the local streets to Wat Ratchabophit, one of Bangkok's most distinctive temples and a beautiful final setting for the photography tour.
After exploring the temple, travel by tuk-tuk or walk to Riva Arun and head up to the rooftop bar to relax with a refreshing drink and take in spectacular views across the Chao Phraya River. With the iconic Wat Arun providing the backdrop, this is the perfect place to reflect on the day’s discoveries while enjoying one final memorable view of Bangkok. The photographer will depart here, leaving time to unwind and enjoy the views at leisure.
When ready, transfer back to the hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle. (L)
