After approximately 1.5 hours, arrive in Ayutthaya and begin your exploration. Learn about the city’s rich history—from its founding as the capital in the 14th century to its fall at the hands of Burmese invaders in the 1700s. Wander through the temple-studded landscape, stopping to visit the revered Wat Yai Chaimongkol and the city's largest monument, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet.
