You will be picked up at 13:00 hr Catch a glimpse of Bangkok’s cultural side during this half-day Bangkok art and culture tour. Take an excursion to an artisan community for a closer look at the ancient traditions with modern artistic styles of the Thai capital.

Travel to the Chao Phraya River and board a private longtail boat for a ride along Bangkok's ancient canals. Pass by shop houses, temples, and residences designed in a range of architectural styles. This diversity demonstrates the rich heritage of these former trading routes.

The boat emerges at Baan Silapin, a 100-year-old house that has been renovated and transformed into an art gallery. The gallery serves as a central gathering point for the community’s artisans. Spend time browsing the works of art on display and learn about Thailand’s modern arts scene. There may be time to take a short walk around the community and see the traditional houses that line the canal.(Note:For visits falling on weekends or public holidays, you may experience the crowd of Thai tourists at Baan Silapin, either for a hangout or a craft workshop.)

At Baan Silapin, there is also a chance to see intricately-designed Thai puppets. Learn about this ancient art form and, if lucky, the puppeteers may put on a live performance at Wat Kamphaeng 50 meters walk from Baan Silapin. (Note: Puppet show is available on Weekends only and The show is subject to change without notice.)

Return to the boat late this afternoon and cruise back toward town. Make a stop at Wat Arun, the ‘Temple of Dawn’, for the day’s final visit then travel onwards to the hotel.
