Begin the tour with a visit to the Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic ksars. Walk through the ancient clay village, known for its striking architecture and as a backdrop for numerous films. Meet with local residents and learn about the preservation efforts that sustain the village and its heritage. Continue to a women’s cooperative, where traditional crafts such as weaving, embroidery, or argan oil production are practised. Gain insight into the cooperative’s role in supporting local families and promoting sustainable livelihoods in the region.

Head back to Ouarzazate and visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah, a symbol of the region’s rich history. Explore its labyrinthine passages and courtyards while learning about the daily life of its former inhabitants. End the day with a stroll through the local market, where artisans and farmers sell their goods, offering a glimpse into the community’s vibrant culture and economy. Return with a deeper understanding of the people and stories that shape Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou.
