Hop on to Malaysia’s longest cable car ride and ascend Mount Machinchang to experience the splendid view of Langkawi from 708 metres above sea level. Continue the journey to explore Seven Wells Waterfalls and observe the amazing fauna against the canopy of hundred-year-old trees.
Pick up at the hotel at 09:00 by an English-speaking driver and transfer to the Oriental Village. Upon arrival at the Oriental Village, ride Malaysia’s longest cable car and ascend Mount Machinchang to experience the splendid view of Langkawi from 708metres above sea level. There are 3 stations of the journey: Base Station, Middle Station and Top Station. Arrive at the Middle Station and be amazed with the beautiful 360-degree views of Langkawi. Observe at close range the unique flora on the mountain ridges and forested valley between the middle and top station.
From the top station, take a 2-minute sky glide to reach the Skybridge built on top of the Machinchang Mountain. Suspended from an 82m high single pylon, it hangs 100m above the ground above virgin rainforest with a remarkable view.
Return to the Top Station, at an altitude of 708m above sea level, be amazed by a breath-taking panoramic view of Langkawi and Southern Thailand from the platforms. Return to the base station for a visit to the Oriental Village.
Spend some time strolling around the Oriental Village, through the art galleries and handicraft stores. Stop for a light refreshment. Browse the attractive souvenirs of artwork, woodwork, keychains and many more Malaysian gifts to take home.
Situated at about a 20 minute walk away from the Sky bridge, the Seven Wells Waterfall is probably one of the island’s most beautiful natural attractions. With several natural pools this is a perfect hiking and swimming spot.
Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by pristine nature.
At 16:00, transfer back to the hotel. (L)
