15:00 Be picked up at the hotel for a short transfer to The Smokehouse, an English Tudor style Hotel built in 1937 and the oldest in Cameron Highlands. Take a trip back in time and immerse yourself in the colonial architecture. The Smokehouse couldn’t be more British, and yet it somehow fits in the Malaysian Highlands.  The overgrown exterior of the Smokehouse is a living carpet behind the blossoming garden.

It is customary to take part in the age-old tradition Afternoon Tea by the fireplace or enjoy it in the beautiful outdoor area with a handful of tables surrounded by countless fragrant flowers. Just keep in mind that the weather can be British as well.

The super star is the scone, rustic beauty with a firm crust that crumbled away in the mouth while the interior maintained the desired moisture. A pleasant flavor that indicated home cooking without powdery shortcuts. Served with homemade strawberry jam, hand-churned cream accompanied with Cameron Highland tea, coupled with the ambience is an absolute joy.

The experience of The Smokehouse is something to be treasured.
