Embark on a half-day private discovery of Cameron Highlands. At 08:15, be picked up from the hotel by your driver and travel by 4WD towards the Sungai Palas Tea Plantation, one of the largest tea plantations in Southeast Asia. Enjoy a short stop here to admire the rolling green hills before continuing the drive up to Mount Brinchang, the highest peak in Cameron Highlands at 2,032 meters above sea level. Take in sweeping views from a viewing tower, with cool fresh air and panoramic vistas of the surrounding highlands.

Next, venture into the enchanting Mossy Forest, also known as the Cloud Rainforest. This interpretive trek with a local guide reveals unique montane flora such as carnivorous pitcher plants, wild ginger, primitive ferns, and wild orchids. Learn some basic forest survival techniques and hear fascinating stories about the forest’s native plants. Keep an eye out for diverse fauna, from birds and frogs to other forest dwellers that call this misty wonderland home.

Descend to visit Malaysia’s oldest tea factory, where a guided tour offers insights into traditional tea processing. Continue to the BOH Tea Plantation and the Sungei Palas Tea Garden, one of Cameron Highlands’ most iconic attractions. Enjoy the scenic backdrop of undulating tea fields stretching into the horizon. Visit the BOH Exhibition Gallery to delve into the rich history of the plantation, followed by an opportunity for light refreshments at the tea house (own expense).

At 12:30, return to the hotel.

Note: The daily opening of the tea factory is subject to change without prior notice. The factory and tea house are officially closed every Monday and on Public Holidays.

The fitness level required for jungle or nature treks in Malaysia can vary depending on the specific trek and the difficulty level of the terrain. While some jungle treks may be relatively easy and suitable for beginners, others may require a moderate to high level of fitness and endurance. The duration of the trekking may be affected by the individual fitness levels of each participant, as those with higher fitness levels may navigate the trails more efficiently, while those with lower fitness levels may require additional time to complete the same trek. Jungle treks in Malaysia typically involve navigating through dense vegetation, uneven terrain, and often steep or slippery trails. The hot and humid tropical climate can also add to the physical demands of the trek. Trekking in Malaysia's rainforests may require walking for several hours each day, sometimes uphill or downhill, and crossing rivers or streams. It is recommended to assess your fitness level, discuss with your guide and choose jungle treks that are suitable for your physical abilities. It's important to be adequately prepared for jungle treks by wearing appropriate clothing and footwear, carrying sufficient water, and using insect repellent to protect against mosquitoes and other insects.
