At 09:00, transfer to the home of Nithakhong Somsanith for a unique encounter.
Although having spent a great deal of his life living, studying and working abroad, Tiao Nith has held on to his childhood
memories and he has deep passion for Lao folk arts. He is a self-taught folk artist and feels it is a special gift that has been
passed on to him from many generations.
Since his return to Laos, Tiao Nith devotes his time his time predominantly to traditional arts and education programs for the
community with the mission to preserve, promote the cultural and artistic heritage of Laos.
Tiao Nith is known for his work in the art of gold thread embroidery of the royal Lao palace. He also practices wood carving
and painting.
The residence also houses a great collection of arts and items from the Old Court of Luang Prabang.
Tea, coffee and local snack will be offer during the visit.
