Begin your morning at Korea’s easternmost point, Homigot Sunrise Square, where the sun first rises over the peninsula. See the famous Hands of Harmony sculpture symbolizing coexistence and hope, and take in the expansive ocean views.

Continue to Yeongildae Pavilion, a historic seaside pavilion perched along Pohang’s coastline. Originally built during the Joseon Dynasty, it offers sweeping views of the East Sea and is a beloved spot for reflection, photography, and enjoying the gentle sea breeze while taking in the natural beauty of the surrounding shoreline.

Just nearby, enjoy the futuristic HwanHo Park Space Walk, a looping metallic skywalk offering panoramic views of the sea and city, a fun and photogenic experience.

Arrive at Manho Gotaek, a 500-year-old hanok renowned for preserving traditional drink-making culture. Savor a Korean lunch in this historic setting before beginning your hands-on Cheongju brewing experience.

Under the guidance of local masters, take part in an engaging Cheongju (Korean rice wine) brewing workshop, where you’ll learn the process of fermenting, filtering, and ageing the elegant clear rice wine.

Afterward, taste freshly made Cheongju and artisanal soju, paired with light local bites and seasonal fruits, as the host shares insights into regional customs and brewing lore passed down through generations.

Stroll through Yangdong Folk Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that beautifully preserves Korea’s Joseon-era heritage. Wander along peaceful lanes lined with traditional tiled and thatched houses, and admire the village’s natural harmony with its surrounding hills and fields, a living reflection of Confucian ideals, family lineage, and timeless rural life.
