Trek the tranquil trails of Bongnaesan Mountain on Yeongdo Island alongside a local guide. Take in sweeping harbour and coastal views away from the crowds, then head to a traditional market to enjoy an authentic Korean lunch paired with makgeolli like a local hiker.

Programme Details

Meet the local guide ten minutes before 09:00 at Nampo Station (Subway Line 1, Exit No. 6) for approximately 20 min public bus ride to Yeongdo Island.

Upon arrival, begin the round-trip hike up Bongnaesan Mountain (approx. 2 hours). Follow quiet forest paths and coastal ridges, ascending at a relaxed pace while taking in panoramic views of the ocean, harbour and Busan cityscape.

After descending the mountain, take a 30 min bus ride to the vibrant Gukje Market in the heart of Busan.

Gather at a local eatery to experience authentic Korean hiking culture by enjoying a well-earned traditional Korean lunch served alongside refreshing makgeolli (Korean rice wine) or soft drinks and local side dishes.

Conclude the tour at Gukje Market at approximately 13:00. Guests looking to continue exploring may independently visit nearby Jagalchi Market or experience a Songdo coastal walk.

- This is a join-in tour.
- This product can only be sold as part of a full multi-day tour package.
- The tour is a small group experience, accommodating up to 10 participants per guide (an additional guide will accompany if the group exceeds 10 pax).
- There are no age limitations for this tour. 
- This experience includes local dishes and an optional tasting of traditional Korean rice wine (makgeolli). Guests who choose to consume alcohol must be of legal drinking age (19 in South Korea). Soft drinks or water can be served as a -    non-alcoholic alternative for guests who do not consume alcohol.
- Participants are advised to wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes and long trousers or leggings.
- Please bring a charged T-money card or small amount of cash for public transportation during the tour.
- The total hiking time is approximately 2 hours. The trail is well-maintained and suitable for beginners with basic fitness.
- This tour is closed every year during the last week of July and the first week of August.
- The itinerary is subject to flexible changes depending on local conditions such as weather and traffic on the day of the tour. The local guide may adjust the schedule, rearrange the order of visits or modify the timing based on their       judgment. 
- We encourage travellers to travel with their own refillable/reusable water container in order to minimise plastic bottle usage and water waste, as more and more refilling stations are now available in destinations.
