Meet the guide at the station and head out for a walk around the traditional neighborhood of Kagurazaka, otherwise known as ‘Tokyo’s Little Kyoto’ due to its unique accumulation of history and Japanese culture.
Dive deep into Japanese history and religion, while exploring the neighborhood’s temples and shrines. Learn about the neighborhood’s connection to the Edo period, and how it evolved from a samurai neighborhood to a flourishing geisha district that is still active today. Depending on the time of the day and with some luck, a local geisha may pass by on her way to practise her art or to meet clients during this tour.
Visit traditional shops such as pottery stores or tea shops, for the chance to buy local souvenirs.
Enjoy a tranquil cultural exploration while walking through old charming alleys, and discovering secret spots that only locals know. Along the way, taste samples of the local delicacies.

- This tour is private only and can accept bookings from 1 pax.
- Children under 3 years old can participate free of charge.
- Pick-up & drop-off at the hotel is available for additional fees.
- The area has several steep hills and the tour is not recommended for people with mobility issues or guests in wheelchair.
- Snacks along the tour are at the guests’ own expense.
- Most shops’ business hours are until 7pm. For tours that start at later evening times, there might be limited availability.
- Additional costs apply to the Izakaya extension.
- Dietary restrictions in the Izakaya extension are accepted upon request; however, strict vegans, halal and severe allergies cannot be accommodated.
- For the version of the tour including the Izakaya extension, the minimum age is 20 years old.
- The tour with the Izakaya extension includes 2 drinks and 1 food per person.
