Kyoto’s denizens are fiercely proud of their city and their cultural legacy, and this tour will enable individuals to create a visual narrative of their experience in Japan’s capital of high culture. Join a professional photography guide who will explain how to take sensational photos in a variety of locations, both lively and serene.

Programme Details

:

Rendezvous with the guide at 10:00 or 14:00 in the neighbourhood around the famed Kiyomizudera Temple. This iconic district is inhabited by people whose lives are intertwined with its history and heritage - amble along the picturesque avenues in search of interesting subjects, and gaindifferent perspectives through the medium of a camera.

The walking route will pass through a number of photogenic locations; Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, a quiet cemetery, and colorful streets filled with traditional architecture. Along the way, learn how to politely approach locals for some impromptu street portraits.

With guidance from the instructor, discover the best camera settings to capture fleeting moments and timeless scenery. Throughout the tour, marvel at the dichotomy between tradition and modernity that exists in this magical city.

Finish the walk in Gion, the traditional geisha quarter. Time permitting, snap a few more shots of these classic streets before parting ways with the guide.

Notes:

- This tour is private only with a maximum of 4 participants.
- Cameras are not included in the activity. Please bring your own camera – a camera with 18-55mm zoom lens or similar, and capable of manual modes is recommended. This experience can also be done with a smartphone.
- Camera rental is available for an extra charge for private activity only. When renting a camera, you may keep the memory card.
