Cycle the back roads of Bali’s interior for a glimpse into the authentic lifestyles and traditional cultures of the local people. Pedal through quiet villages, weave in and out of rice fields and feed cheeky monkeys in the forest. This half day tour showcases the ‘real’ Bali at every turn.
Programme Details
Begin the Bali cycling tour by setting off from the hotel early in the morning and transferring to Carang Sari, a charming village in the island’s interior. Enjoy a cup of tea in the tranquil surroundings while chatting with the local cycling guide.
After a safety briefing, hop on the bikes for a two hour Bali cycling tour. Pedal through untouched rice terraces, stopping to snap photos of the vibrant colours and to learn about the process of growing this vital crop. Ride to rural villages for a chance to talk to the friendly locals and get a closer look at their traditional houses. Along the way, see scenes of daily life, from farmers working in the fields to kids playing in the schoolyard. There is also a chance to stop at the Sangeh monkey forest. Grab a bunch of bananas for a closer encounter with these cheeky animals.
Upon reaching the finish point, hop off the bikes and transfer by van to a local restaurant. Refuel with an Indonesian buffet lunch before returning to the hotel in the early afternoon. (L)

- We recommend wearing shorts and sport shoes, hat and sunscreen. Bring a change of clothes for after cycling.
- Minimum 2 pax. Not recommended for those under 125 cm (4 ft) tall due to bike size.
- Our rates are nett and quoted in American dollars (USD), however some services (like transportation, guide fees, entrance fees, some activities, meals, air tickets and train tickets and sometimes accommodations) are based on local prices in Indonesian Rupiah in (IDR). In the case of a major change in the exchange rate (5% or more) between the Indonesian Rupiah and the American dollar (USD), we reserve the right to correct our quotes to align our rates and revise the value of the American dollar (USD).
- All rates are based on the current gasoline price. Should the gasoline price increase by more than 10% we would readjust
transfer rates with a 30 days prior notice
- Children aged between 2 and 12 years at the time of travel will receive a 15% discount off the Adult Price.
- All language guides other than English subject to availability during high season July until September.
- During Nyepi Day, an important religious day in Bali, which falls on 22-Mar-23 and 11-Mar-24, visitors are not allowed to leave the premises of hotels from 06:00 until 06:00 on the following day (24 hour). The airport will not operate any flights and all public activities will cease but hotels will remain operate with limited staff
