A guided walk with a well experienced and passionate guide, who will share her extensive knowledge of Ubud's birds, animals, insects, and a wide variety of plants in addition to birdwatching. This experience also offers a fascinating glimpse into Balinese culture and the lives of its people.
Embark for a fun birdwatching walk around the lush countryside of Ubud, tailored to the changing seasons. Following a brief introductory talk, the walk takes you on a day out through some of the highland area’s most beautiful nature trails and offers a chance to encounter a remarkable diversity of wildlife. Even spotting a dozen of the hundreds of bird species present is considered a fortunate experience. Bali's endemic birds, including the Java kingfisher, bar-winged prinia, Java sparrow, and scarlet-headed flowerpecker, share the habitat with numerous other tropical birds boasting vibrant plumage.
Additionally, the area is a haven for stunning butterflies, such as the Helena birdwing, banded common sailer, and red lacewings, which dance among the foliage. Your journey will also reveal exotic trees, medicinal plants, and wildflowers. We'll bring our day of discovery to a close with a leisurely meal, allowing us to savor the experience and reflect on the morning's observations. (L)
