Experience an exclusive Balinese wedding ceremony this morning. Along with a local guide, learn about the traditional rituals of an authentic island wedding while forging a deeper connection with the local culture and with each other.

Drive to Batusepih Village where the actual ceremony will take place. Change into traditional wedding costumes and apply Balinese make up, transforming into a local style bride and groom. Once ready, place a segehan offering at the entrance of the home, a ritual that announces the official start to the ceremony.

Around 1045 the main wedding commences. Perform mebiakala and metegen tegenan, ceremonies which are believed to cleanse the physical and spiritual body and prepare the couple to enter life in matrimony. During this ceremony, traditional music called gender will be played.

Proceed to a Bale Gede, a special building where prayers will be said to bring happiness and success for a long lasting married life. Next up is the procession of the bride and groom will walk towards the place of worship of the family, after arriving in family temple, brides are welcome to pray according to their respective beliefs.

Toast the wedding with a bottle of local wine and enjoy a typical Balinese lunch, sharing memories of the days events.

Return to the hotel. A CD of professional photos documenting the Balinese wedding will be presented to share with friends and family back home. (L)

The airport will not operate any flights and all public activities will cease but hotels will remain operate with limited staff.
- Note that certain experiences, such as blessings by a priest, the visit of an astrologer, etc. are linked with cultural and social obligations on the side of the providers that may change with very short notice, and thus are always subject to change. Cancellations from the supplier-side with short notice have occurred, and in such cases we would always try to re-schedule the activity or experience.
