Capture the beauty of Muncar harbour on this early morning photography-focused tour. As soft morning light illuminates the historic port, photograph colorful, festival-like fishing boats and anchored ships. This picturesque setting offers a perfect glimpse into Java's rich maritime heritage.
Depart before dawn at 04:00, transferring to Muncar Port with a guide in the comfort of a private, air-conditioned car.
Muncar Port, originally known as Teluk Pang-Pang Harbor, dates back to the 1700s, when it was established during the era of the Blambangan Kingdom. During this period, traders from the British and Dutch East India Trading Companies frequented the region. Today, Muncar is renowned as the largest fish-producing port on the island of Java.
As the sun begins to rise, take in the beauty of the harbour and its anchored ships, many of which are covered in vibrant, traditional decorations. For generations, the fishermen of Muncar have been skilled seafarers and traders, their legacy evident in the lively activity of the port. This is the perfect moment to capture stunning photographs and lasting memories.
Note: We suggest taking a breakfast box from the hotel to enjoy at a beach near Muncar Port after sunrise (not included)
