Embark on a captivating journey through time with the "Rediscovered Bali Ancient Temple" program, where world heritage temples and monuments that hold the key to the creation and evolution of Balinese Hinduism, also known as "Hindu Dharma," will be explored. A religious fusion of Buddhism, Hinduism, and the Javanese empire has shaped modern-day Bali Hinduism.

The enchanting Pura Gumang Temple awaits, nestled in the upper reaches of the Pakerisan River. This hidden gem houses exquisite artifacts such as statues and stupas, surrounded by a lush forest brimming with medicinal plants. The awe-inspiring Lingga-shaped Yoni statues, the largest of their kind in Southeast Asia, symbolize fertility and offer a place for prayers seeking prosperity.

Next, a visit to the Pegulingan Temple is in store, established back in 1178 AD during the reign of King Masula Masuli. Marvel at the grandeur of the largest stupa Buddha found in Bali, a magnificent testament to ancient architectural prowess that has gracefully withstood the passage of time and the forces of nature.

The last temple stop is at Pura Mengening, where serenity and natural beauty converge. This sacred site is renowned for Melukat, a self-cleansing ritual with holy water, and serves as a place to request tirtha, holy water essential for Hindu ceremonies. A water purification ritual followed by temple prayers will be arranged here, culminating the day's temple visits with a sense of spiritual renewal.

In between these awe-inspiring temple explorations, a delectable traditional lunch in a picturesque setting overlooking Bali's scenic rice paddies awaits.

Following lunch, return to your hotel. (L)
