Lombok Inland Waterfalls

Embark on a full day Lombok tour to experience the island’s authentic natural beauty and cultural wonders. Depart from the hotel after breakfast, joining a local guide for a drive to Karang Bayan.

Upon arrival in this Sasak village, go for a short walk to observe the daily activities of residents. The local people here still preserve their genuine traditions, both in terms of building styles and religious customs. The guide will explain the unique culture and help facilitate interaction with locals.

After this insight into the traditions of Lombok’s residents, it’s time for a closer look at the island’s natural wonders. Take a light trek through the Suranadi Woodlands, enjoying the fresh air and exploring the exotic flora and fauna found around the trails. Keep an eye out for wild monkeys and Suranadi’s towering mahogany trees. (20 to 25 minutes, light to medium trek).

Having worked up an appetite, depart from Suranadi and drive to a local restaurant for lunch. Resume the drive to Benang Kelambu for an afternoon adventure.

Take a short walk to Benang Setokel Waterfall, admiring this 40-metre high fall which is fed from a river high on Rinjani Mountain. Meaning ball of thread in the Sasak language, Benang Setokel features two large drops of clear water which give off the appearance of threads of string. Go for a swim or simply enjoy the views from afar before resuming the walk.

Continue walking a further 1 kilometer, following an undulating trail to the spectacular Benang Kelambu fall. Gaze in wonder at this massive fall where the water seems to flow over caverns and through plants. The effect makes it seem like a giant net of water has been cast against the mountainside.

Relax and enjoy this beautiful natural wonder before returning to the car, arriving at the hotel late this afternoon. (L)
