Engage in an immersive exploration of the coffee plantations located within the Gombeng sub-district, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide. Acquire insights into the guide's native region, which adjoins a protected forest, and observe the routine activities of the village inhabitants whose livelihoods are intrinsically linked to the plantations.

Programme Details

Begin the day with an inspiring journey from the hotel to the captivating Gombeng Village in Banyuwangi. In the village, you'll be warmly welcomed by a local guide, Peno, and his wife Mariasih, at their home, where you can enjoy tea and fried bananas while they provide a brief introduction.

Afterwards, you will be transferred to the gateway of the protected mahogany forest, which marks the starting point of your walking exploration. As it begins walking, Peno will enrich the experience with stories and information.

Explore the coffee plantations of Gombeng Village, where cloves, vanilla, cinnamon, durian, and mangosteen grow in harmony.  This immersive experience offers opportunities to interact with local villagers as they engage in daily activities such as tending livestock, repairing vehicles, or harvesting crops.

After the walk, a journey back to Peno's house through the beautiful rice fields, bringing the day of exploration to a satisfying close with a sample of local village cuisine, allowing you to fully appreciate the discoveries and observations from the morning. (L)

- Children aged between 2 and 12 years at the time of travel will receive a 20% discount off the Adult Price.
- During the important religious festival of Idul Fitri, which falls on 20th-21st March 2026, significant travel activity is expected across the country, particularly in Java, leading to potentially long traffic jams. Overland travel is not advised during the two weeks from 13th-28th March 2026. During this period, service availability may be limited, tour guides could be returning home, and some restaurants may be closed.
