Get a true taste of Bali’s local culture, traditions and lifestyles with this immersive Bali day tour inspired by the popular book and movie (Eat, Pray, Love). Join a local guide and transfer from Ubud to a small village on the outskirts of town for a uniquely Balinese cultural experience.

Follow the theme of the book, starting with (pray). Meet with a traditional shaman for a special Balinese blessing ceremony. Then sit down with an astrologer who uses ancient methods passed down from generation to generation to predict what the future has in store.

Next it is time to (eat), joining local chefs for a hands on cooking class at Kayun House, a natural organic restaurant. Learn about the fresh produce, herbs and spices used in authentic Balinese cooking while assisting in preparing the day’s lunch. While the final touches are being added, stroll around the village compound to admire the local architecture and gain a better sense of what life is like in Bali’s rural areas. Then return to Kayun in time for lunch, enjoying a feast of traditional Balinese dishes.

The last activity on this themed Bali day tour is (love). Indulge in a 90 minutes Balinese massage, letting the expert therapists knead away any fatigue or sore muscles.

Feeling relaxed and refreshed, return to the hotel where the remainder of this afternoon is free to relax or head out for an independent exploration of Ubud. (L)
